The April 15 episode of NXT marked the first time Sami Zayn competed inside a squared circle since Takeover: Rival, where he lost the heavyweight championship to Kevin Owens. Determined to climb back into title contention, he squared off with grizzled veteran Rhyno in the night's main event.
As good and crisp as he has ever been, Zayn showed no signs of ring rust as he wrestled, threw strikes and dove over the top rope at his opponent before landing a Helluva Kick that scored him the pinfall victory.
It was a strong comeback performance from Zayn, who was sorely missing from this recent set of television tapings.
