It all began on February 23, 2010. That's when WWE NXT replaced the ill-fated revival of ECW on TV. It was a reality show/pro wrestling hybrid where eight NXT Rookies (in reality, they are wrestlers competing in Florida Championship Wrestling) are paired with eight WWE Pros. Ironically, one of those Pros just so happened to be current WWE Champion Mike "The Miz" Mizanin.
The Miz was barely a year from splitting up with his tag team partner John Morrison when he was named Daniel Bryan's Pro in season one. Monday Night RAW play-by-play man Michael Cole was also the voice of WWE NXT and once he despised Bryan that's when he became a so-called "Mizfit".
