After soaking in WrestleMania for 24 hours, I asked myself "What was missing from the WWE's signature event?" The answer was as plain as the nose on my face, "the Voice of the WWE: good 'ol JR..." Jim Ross.
Even though Michael Cole, Jerry Lawler, and Matt Striker gave it the "old college try," their styles clashed more than they meshed. Cole couldn't keep up with the action and didn't have much to offer as an analyst. Lawler tried to cover for him (but he's more of a straight-talking man) and Striker could do no more than be himself.
Jim Ross is the best commentator, play-by-play man, and storyteller in wrestling...period...end of story.
