Are The Gimmick PPVs a Good Or Bad Move For Pro Wrestling?

Posted by Joe Burgett The BR Superstar On September - 30 - 2009
This Sunday we are going to see a new PPV taking the place of No Mercy called Hell in a Cell. It is going to be centered around the name of course, having all the main events in Hell in a Cell matches. It makes one think why the WWE would go through with such a match with a PG format because there can be no planned blood. Then it becomes even dumber because all of the main events are going to be one after the other. So that means three Hell in a Cell matches back to back to back. I am sure ...
With the WWE's pay-per-view titled Hell In a Cell coming up this Sunday, the results of the event's WWE Championship match are already in and that's good news if your a fan of John Cena. Yet again, John Cena will find a way to leave a WWE pay-per-view as the WWE Champion but perhaps more importantly, he will manage to kill Randy Orton's momentum in the process. The WWE once had big things in store for Randy Orton and at one point, they appeared willing to allow their most talented Superstar to develop into the greatest heel of our generation. But heels are yesterday's news in the eyes ...

Time to Play the Game: A [Fake] Interview With HHH

Posted by Faysal Shehail On September - 29 - 2009
Most of the "Internet Wrestling Community," or the "smarks" or whatever these people call themselves, hold a huge grudge against HHH and claim that he hogs all the attention and uses backstage politics to get whatever he wants. In this [un]fortunate day, I had a chance to meet with none other than Hunter Hearst Helmsley. During this interview, we discuss alot of aspects including: his position within the WWE, his fanbase, his character, his dominance, his numerous title reigns...and a lot more!   FS: Triple H, it is an honor to finally meet you and have this interview with you.. HHH: Yes, Faysal. It is ...

WWE: B/R Tag Team Tournament Finals

Posted by Jessy Morris On September - 29 - 2009
The semifinals of the tag team tournament are now over and the finals are about to begin. Sixteen tag teams started off and we are now down to the final two. Some great teams like Demolition, The Brain Busters, The New Age Outlaws, The Hart Foundation, and Team 3D have been eliminated. The finale is between two of the most entertaining teams in WWE history. It's safe to say that there is no love lost between the four men involved in this match.   Edge and Christian vs The Hardy Boyz What can we say about these two teams? They were popular, mysterious, and, most ...

TNA Bound For Glory Shows the Writing Skills WWE Lacks

Posted by Faysal Shehail On September - 28 - 2009
Well, TNA's biggest pay-per-view of the year, Bound For Glory, is upon us. As much as I hate to admit it, they built up for it magnificently. Honestly, how long has it been since we have seen a WWE storyline that had a long-term build? Ages. It seems nowadays that the WWE comes up with stuff on the spot without a second thought. It's quite frustrating to see repetitive Orton-Cena-HHH storylines for the past three years. And let's not forget the feud of the summer: Chavo vs. Hornswoggle! One of the many aspects of the WWE that makes the die-hard wrestling fan complain is the lack of fresh ideas. ...

Over My Head: What’s the Big Deal About Stone Cold? [HUMOR]

Posted by Vitamin D On September - 28 - 2009
Hulk Hogan.  Ric Flair.  Rey Mysterio.  Edge.  The Undertaker.   What do these wrestlers have in common?  Well, at some point some know-it-alls at one point or another decided to publish an article depicting these athletes as being “overrated”.   None of these compare, however, to just how over-the-top, inexplicable, and undeserving of the love received by wrestling fans, to the Texas Rattlesnake.  Yep, that’s right.   “Stone Cold” Steve Austin.   I said it.   I mean, I just don’t get it.  Can someone help me out, here?  Let’s see the rundown…   Really?   So you have this guy.  He’s a badass from Texas.  God, what a crappy gimmick.  I mean, the ...

Who Just Signed Jim Cornette After He Was Fired by TNA?

Posted by Daris Brown On September - 27 - 2009
Less than a week after Jim Cornette was released from TNA for "not being behind the current direction," Cornette landed in a new home. No, not the WWE. He's been opposed going there ever since he literally laid the smackdown on Santino Marella. No, the home I'm talking about is Ring of Honor. It was announced at ROH's show in New York that Jim Cornette is the new Executive Producer of ROH on HDNet. This led to him being immediately called out by ROH world champion Austin Aries. Maybe Batista Moving to Smackdown Isn’t the End of the World

Posted by Mike Salvatore On September - 26 - 2009
When Batista moved to Smackdown, I along with almost everyone else assumed the worst. I thought Batista would force his way into the world title picture and leave Dolph Ziggler and John Morrison stuck in the mid-card forever.   Then a funny thing happened; the WWE creative team made a decision that made sense.   On the most recent edition of Smackdown, Batista let his intentions be known that he was going after Chris Jericho and Big Show for the Unified Tag Titles. This is the best possible thing the WWE could had done with Batista for several reasons:       The Punk/Undertaker Feud Can Continue   With Batista ...
