Ranking Brock Lesnar’s Onslaught on the WWE Roster Since His Return

Posted by Luis Campos On January - 29 - 2013
Despite his limited appearances on WWE television, Brock Lesnar has managed to wreck his way through the WWE roster ever since his initial return to the world's largest pro wrestling promotion on the April 2, 2012 episode of Monday Night Raw. Though Lesnar's in-ring persona portrays him as an unstable man, one thing is certain—whenever someone is in the ring with Lesnar, that person is bound to get "injured." From John Cena to Triple H, and most recently Vince McMahon, Lesnar's opponents have faced the fury of the "Next Big Thing." All injuries, however, are not made the same, and thankfully for Lesnar's opponents, some ...

WWE Monday Night Raw, Jan. 28: GSM’s Analysis and Aftermath

Posted by Graham 'GSM' Matthews On January - 29 - 2013
One night removed from the historic event that was the WWE Royal Rumble, Monday Night Raw featured a number of monumental moments that kicked off the road to WrestleMania with a bang. Not only that, but the Raw Roulette theme made for some fun (and not-so-fun) matches and segments to add to what was a rather newsworthy show. Here, I will analyze each significant segment presented on the show. I will also provide a combination of prediction and wishful thinking about what I hope to see in the coming weeks. Opening SegmentGreat opening segment featuring CM Punk, Paul Heyman and Mr. McMahon. ...

What Was Missing from the Royal Rumble?

Posted by Big Nasty On January - 29 - 2013
The WWE Royal Rumble delivered on the thrills and surprises, and had a blockbuster main event to boot.  So, what was missing? Not much could have been done to improve a hot first pay-per-view of the year, but the Royal Rumble didn’t have everything.  As expected, Dolph Ziggler was the Royal Rumble workhorse, lasting longer than any other participant.  But where was his big moment?  After spending almost 50 minutes in the dance, Ziggler was thrown out in vain.  His performance will not go down in the annals of Rumble history.  Randy Orton once again underwhelmed on PPV, but he ...

Why WWE NXT Superstars’ Debuts Have Been Successful

Posted by Seth M. Guttenplan On January - 29 - 2013
Since October 2012, WWE has begun to introduce fans to the newest influx of NXT Superstars. From Brad Maddox’s refereeing to Bo Dallas’ surprise victory over Wade Barrett, the recent debuts of NXT Superstars have been very successful. The original NXT that aired as a reality show did not work out, but merging WWE’s developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling with NXT made perfect sense. Now WWE fans can watch young wrestlers develop into WWE Superstars. Here I will discuss each new NXT Superstar’s debut and why each was successful. In addition, I will give you some insight into what to ...

The Rock’s Win at Royal Rumble Was Best Possible Move for WWE

Posted by Tim Keeney On January - 29 - 2013
The Rock is the WWE Champion, and no one should be upset about it. Unfortunately, a quick scan of wrestling nation reveals just the opposite. You've got this guy (video contains language NSFW), who had just a little bit of a temper tantrum when CM Punk was pinned and The Brahma Bull took his belt. You've got fans like this one, who aren't exactly thrilled about the wrestler who is supposed to be atop the entertainment not showing up at RAW next week:You've got fans who were upset with the predictable nature of the match and even plenty who weren't enthralled with how The ...

Tensai Defends Raw Angle on Twitter

Posted by Sharon Glencross On January - 29 - 2013
As anyone who saw it will know, Monday's episode of Raw included one of the most cringe-worthy segments in recent times. Per the storyline, Vickie Guerrero, backstage with Brodus Clay and Tensai, spun the Raw roulette wheel  (the show took place in Las Vegas, hence the format) to place Tensai and Brodus Clay in a ... lingerie pillow fight?A shocked and irate Tensai promptly stormed off, at which point Guerrero astutely decided to spin the wheel again and give it another go. It landed on the significantly less embarrassing dance-off option. Clay promised Vickie he'd relay the change to his foe.Of ...

The Rock: Ranking the Worst Movies of His Acting Career so Far

Posted by Sharon Glencross On January - 29 - 2013
OK, so Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has indisputably had more success in Hollywood than anyone else in wrestling history. Hey, he even managed to make Forbes magazine's recent list of the industry's highest paid actors.     But, like most successful actors, he has had a few mis-steps and errors on his way to the A list stardom. Yes, for all his charisma, Johnson has a less-than-stellar track record when it comes to picking scrips. And, with this in mind, here are the worst five films of Johnson's career. That he managed to bounce back from these disasters is a testament to his talent and ability. Dwayne, what ...
Ever since their debut at Survivor Series, it was unclear what the motives behind The Shield's many attacks were. Monday's events shed some light on that as it was revealed that Paul Heyman and CM Punk had been paying them off, but signs point to there being more behind their actions than just the almighty dollar.Financial gain certainly explains why The Shield helped Punk at Survivor Series and Royal Rumble as well as on various other occasions, but it many attacks are still unaccounted for. The Shield has taken out a wide array of superstars including Team Hell No, Sheamus, ...
Trish Stratus is bringing sexy back—at least to the WWE's Hall of Fame. Only the sixth woman to be inducted into the WWE's Hall of Fame, Trish Stratus brings her feminine charm to the WWE's boy's club. The latest inductee to the WWE's 2013 Hall of Fame joins an already star-studded class alongside "The Hardcore Legend" Mick Foley and Bob Backlund. Stratus' Hall of Fame induction  is just another of the Diva's multiple accomplishments—including being named Pro Wrestling Illustrated's Woman of the Decade (2000-2009). In honor of Trish Stratus latest accomplishment,  here's a list celebrating the most memorable moments of her career.  Begin Slideshow
If Brock Lesnar and Triple H are going to have another match at WrestleMania―it should be a Hell in a Cell match. The Undertaker and Ryback were my two top choices for Lesnar's opponent at WrestleMania 29.Since the summer, we've all heard rumors of a rematch between Triple H versus Brock Lesnar set to take place at the biggest show of the year. I, like many others, groaned at the sound of this.Based on Lesnar's return to television on Raw where he delivered an F-5 to Vince McMahon―it seems this is setting up for Triple H to come defend his family ...
