After Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch wrestled to a draw on Monday Night Raw, no No. 1 contender has been named for Charlotte's Diva's Championship match at WrestleMania 32 as of yet. Instead, there will be a rematch to determine the No. 1 contender this Thursday on Smackdown, per WWE Universe. The two rising star Divas wrestled for a shot to face Charlotte in Dallas at AT&T Stadium on April 3. Both Banks' and Lynch's shoulders were on the mat after Banks connected on a Sunset Flip Powerbomb from the top turnbuckle, resulting in a double pin, via WWE:    With no one ...

The Fabulous Freebirds Will Be Inducted into 2016 WWE Hall of Fame

Posted by Joseph Zucker On February - 29 - 2016
The WWE announced Monday that the Fabulous Freebirds will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the 2016 class. The Freebirds were one of the most legendary tag teams of the 1980s, with Michael Hayes and Jimmy Garvin most synonymous with the group during its run in NWA and WCW. Buddy Roberts and Terry Gordy will be joining Garvin and Hayes as part of the induction. Hayes provided his reaction to the news on Twitter: With this year's ceremony in Dallas, the Freebirds are an appropriate addition given their ties to the region. They first rose to prominence as ...

WWE’s Roster Is Too Thin for Rumored Raw and SmackDown Brand Split

Posted by Ryan Dilbert On February - 29 - 2016
Making Raw and SmackDown two separate entities isn't the cure to WWE's ills; it's glittering fool's gold. Memories of when SmackDown was a marquee show and flashbacks to an era loaded with top talent have some dreaming of a return to when WWE split itself into two brands. The current roster, though, isn't equipped to handle that. A lack of high-level star power threatens to make a brand split a flop. Shane McMahon returning to Raw last week and vying for control of Raw stirred up that conversation once more. Rumors have only further fueled the discussion of Raw and SmackDown each existing ...

WWE Superstar Power Rankings for Week of February 29

Posted by The Doctor Chris Mueller On February - 29 - 2016
The WWE Superstar power rankings shifted quite a bit after an eventful week. A few people broke into the top 10, some fell out and a few moved up and down the list. The return of Shane McMahon was one of the few surprises WWE has managed to keep under wraps in years, and it was one the fans responded to with a lot of enthusiasm. WrestleMania 32 is still a long ways away, but the card is already starting to take shape. It's good for WWE to space out when it adds new matches, but it's also nice to see so ...
WWE’s official website has announced that The Undertaker will be live in attendance during Monday’s episode of Raw from Nashville, Tennessee. What The Deadman has to say about his upcoming WrestleMania 32 match against Shane McMahon is anyone’s guess, though. With five weeks of build remaining until the biggest pay-per-view of the year, WWE is also keeping Shane and Undertaker away from each other, as Vince McMahon’s son is not currently scheduled to be in attendance on Raw this week. As The Undertaker’s appearance approaches, the WWE Universe is buzzing: The result will likely be a heart-to-heart meeting between The Deadman and the ...
As the February 22 episode of Monday Night Raw went off the air, a bloody Roman Reigns laid at the feet of Triple H, fans cheering his pain and punishment while The Game stood tall to close out the broadcast. It was in that moment that it became clear that the hatred fans feel for Reigns had completely blinded them to the McMahon family epidemic—and their own indecisiveness—that plagues the WWE product. For years, fans begged WWE to push young talent. They pleaded for the company to bring forth Superstars of youth that could supplant the John Cenas, Triple Hs and ...

WWE WrestleMania 2016: Biggest X-Factors to Watch at Massive PPV

Posted by Tom Clark On February - 28 - 2016
WWE WrestleMania 32 is coming up on April 3, and the top three matches are officially set. Dean Ambrose will be stepping up against Brock Lesnar, Shane McMahon will face off against The Undertaker, and Triple H will defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Roman Reigns. Two of those matches are fairly predictable, while the other came from out of nowhere. But it's the unexpected and the unknown that is ultimately defining WrestleMania 32. Too many main event stars are on the shelf, which means too many questions are being asked. Will John Cena get back in time? Is Sting perhaps going to ...
