As if there wasn't already enough hype surrounding the release of the WWE 12 video game on Nov. 22, the recently announced inclusion of Randy "Macho Man" Savage as downloadable content makes this game a must-buy for any past and present fan of the WWE.Savage had been absent from WWE video games for years prior to WWE All-Stars this year. It was rumored that the late Savage, who died of a heart attack in May, had only agreed to appear in WWE All-Stars, so his inclusion in WWE 12 came as a surprise to many. While it's true that Savage could ...

Posted by Giulio Romano On November - 19 - 2011
Tomorrow is the big night!Survivor Series celebrates its 25th anniversary and to honor that moment, we will witness The Rock return to the ring after more than seven long years and team up with the holder of all super powers in the universe, John Cena. This powerful duo faces the Awesome Truth a.k.a R-Truth and The Miz who, funny as it turns out, is a true nemesis of the chain gang leader. WWE Survivor Series: A TNA Fanboy’s Predictions

Posted by Jacob Stachowiak On November - 19 - 2011
Look, I'm a TNA mark and there's no denying that. I prefer it over every other wrestling promotion. I watch Impact every week. I also spend my money on their pay-per-views and other products.  However, I still watch WWE. I do this in order to make myself a more well-rounded wrestling fan. For example, I cannot correctly criticize Raw without watching it every week. So far, there has been a decent build going into Survivor Series. Most wrestling fans show a legitimate interest in the results of this Sunday. They want to know if there will be turns, surprise upsets and shocking ...
When CM Punk used his Anaconda Vice submission hold on Alberto Del Rio a couple weeks ago to get a shot at his WWE Championship, I thought their match at Survivor Series would be a submission match. Since that hasn't come to fruition, though, I don't like Punk's chances.Punk hasn't used the Anaconda Vice regularly in quite some time, so it seemed as though his re-dedication to the hold would be a counter to Alberto Del Rio's vaunted Cross Armbreaker. That may still be the case, but I don't believe it will come into play. When a submission match or "I ...

WWE: Is Kevin Nash the Most Useless Superstar They Have?

Posted by Alex Hall On November - 19 - 2011
Back in the 1990's Kevin Nash was without question a main event superstar and helped put World Championship Wrestling in a position to contend with the WWE through his time as a member of The Outsiders, nWo and nWo Wolfpac. That's all well and good, but here in 2011 it seems that the WWE just doesn't seem to know what to do with Nash's character. The wrestling rumor mill has thrown out the possibility that the WWE creative team at one point was debating if they needed to give a sort of background for Nash so the younger fans would know ...
When John Cena and The Rock team up to take on The Miz and R-Truth at Survivor Series, all eyes will be on how Cena and The Rock coexist as a team. At the end of the night, however, The Miz stands to gain more than anyone else.As was the case when The Miz defended his WWE Championship against Cena at WrestleMania, The Miz will once again be an afterthought in this instance. The WWE Universe is largely anticipating The Rock's return to the ring, meaning Awesome Truth is flying under the radar. This match figures to be for the purposes ...

For months, we have seen some good pay-per-views.Summerslam, Hell in a Cell, Extreme Rules, WrestleMania, and most importantly, Money in the Bank.Money in the Bank, in fact, may be the best PPV in years. This Sunday, WWE pulls out the first PPV in months that could truly put up a fight. The most important aspect of a great PPV is the impact it leaves.Survivor Series has a great set of matches that could truly prove memorable and effective for the whole face of the WWE.The best way to gauge how great this pay-per-view could be is to analyze and rank the effectiveness ...

WWE and Dolph Ziggler: Perfection or Mid-Carder for Life?

Posted by Tyson Jones On November - 19 - 2011
Dolph Ziggler seems to be the latest flavor the IWC has taken a liking to. It seems only yesterday he was struggling to get over without Vickie Guerrero. Now, the call's being made to have him dump Vickie, and some would even like him to be a face. However, I'm gonna be honest with the "Dolph-fans" as I call Ziggler's following. I'm just not seeing a main-eventer. Honestly, I've been a fan of Dolph since his time on SmackDown when he won the I.C. Championship. He was a great Intercontinental Champion, and I think he would have made a good World ...

10 WWE Superstars Who Were Always Better as a Heel

Posted by Kyle Symes On November - 19 - 2011
A heel or face turn can make or break a career for a WWE superstar. It provides a twist that fans weren't (depending on how much you're on the Internet) expecting and gives us something fresh. It can also open the door for a superstar to break out of the mid-card level and ascend into main event level.Although most WWE superstars are able to pull off the switch, there are some guys who are simply better at being the bad guy. For whatever reason, these superstars were always at their best when taking out our favorite heroes.Begin Slideshow

WWE Survivor Series 2011 Predictions: Why Alberto Del Rio Will Come Up Short

Posted by Michael Cahill On November - 19 - 2011
It’s unfortunate that Alberto Del Rio has been a bust, but that’s exactly what he’s been. And if you think he’s winning at Survivor Series, you are sorely mistaken.  In order to arrive at this place, the place where Del Rio loses his strap, you have to think beyond the ring and past the TV programs and into the bigger picture and that bigger picture doesn’t have Del Rio.  Del Rio, as much as he’s got a decent look, and he’s not terrible on the mic, or in the ring, was the classic case of a SmackDown superstar. He was ...
