WWE SmackDown: Burning Questions to Address After November 29 Show

Posted by Ryan Dilbert On November - 30 - 2016
The Nov. 29 episode of WWE SmackDown did its job. It left fans curious and intrigued about what will unfold at TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs. Will chinless underdog James Ellsworth affect the WWE World Championship match at Sunday's pay-per-view? He left SmackDown in an ambulance on Tuesday night, but chances are that a dramatic entrance is ahead. What of the two women's bouts set for the PPV card? What level of violence can we expect from Nikki Bella and Carmella? Will Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton defeat Heath Slater and Rhyno? Does WWE have a plan for Kane—at the upcoming event or otherwise? These are the burning questions left ...
Sami Zayn's feud with Braun Strowman on WWE Raw represents something of a push for the Canadian, given his recent fortunes, but that isn't enough for him to fulfill his potential on the main roster. For true success, a change of shows is required. The dust has just about settled on both Raw and SmackDown since the brand split, and it's clear which stars are set for bright futures on their respective brands. For Zayn, the coming months look less promising. He's struggled to make any kind of impression on the revamped Raw roster, and this feud with Strowman—where he looks like a ...
1. A Proper Home for the Cruiserweights  WWE Raw, three hours and all, isn't big enough to contain the cruiserweight division. Rich Swann, Tony Nese and the rest of the roster members under 205 pounds were getting trampled by Raw's rivalries, comedy acts, big-name guests and monologues. WWE recognized that and found a cure in a hurry. On Tuesday, the cruiserweight showcase 205 Live debuted. WWE rediscovered what made this division so appealing during the summer's Cruiserweight Classic tournament. 205 Live spotlighted the wrestlers' backgrounds. It allowed them to show off their individuality. Match time for the warriors ballooned. One night in, and it's already clear ...

WWE TLC 2016: Date, Start Time, Matches, Live Stream, PPV Info

Posted by Erik Beaston On November - 30 - 2016
Traditionally, WWE ends its pay-per-view schedule with TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs, an event dedicated to some of the most popular and utilized weapons in sports entertainment. This year, the show is not the last on the schedule, but it may be the best, with matches featuring some of the best workers in the company and storylines that fans have been able to invest themselves in over the last two months. Championships will be at stake and intense personal rivalries will come to a head when the stars wage war, with each looking to close the year out on a high note.   ...
The WWE SmackDown brand made its penultimate stop on the road to TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs on Tuesday night, presenting an episode of its weekly television show that provided fans of the company with the final hype for Sunday's pay-per-view extravaganza. AJ Styles and Dean Ambrose came face-to-face during a special edition of The Ambrose Asylum. American Alpha battled Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton for the right to challenge for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships. Becky Lynch and Alexa Bliss met in an intense contract signing just days ahead of The Lass Kicker's women's title defense against the NXT alum. Only a ...

WWE 205 Live Results: Winners, Grades, Reaction and Highlights from November 29

Following the massively popular Cruiserweight Classic tournament, WWE had a hard time making the cruiserweight division what we all hoped it would become. There is no shortage of talent in the 205-pound and under weight class, but trying to introduce too many new characters all at once meant nobody was given enough time to connect with the audience. By giving the cruiserweights their own show in addition to still appearing on Raw every week, WWE can build more storylines without having to rely on one championship feud and a bunch of random tag team matches. The action will be called by SmackDown's Mauro Ranallo ...

Brian Kendrick vs. Rich Swann: Winner and Reaction from WWE 205 Live

Posted by Mike Chiari On November - 30 - 2016
On Tuesday's inaugural episode of 205 Live on WWE Network, Rich Swann defeated Brian Kendrick to win the Cruiserweight Championship for the first time. The 205 Live Twitter account shared an image of Kendrick celebrating his win:  Kendrick successfully defended the cruiserweight title against Kalisto at Survivor Series with a win by disqualification when Baron Corbin interfered. That ensured the entire cruiserweight division would remain on Raw, and it led to a Triple Threat match between Swann, TJ Perkins and Noam Dar for the No. 1 contendership on last week's edition of the show. Swann entered the match with a ton of momentum on ...
The November 29 episode of WWE SmackDown Live put a nice bow on the final hype to TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs—a pay-per-view produced by the brand this Sunday night on WWE Network. Dean Ambrose and AJ Styles brawled to end the show, putting an exclamation put on a promo segment from earlier in the evening that saw The Phenomenal One brutalize James Ellsworth with a nasty Styles Clash. Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton cashed their ticket to the event, defeating American Alpha to earn a shot at tag champions Rhyno and Heath Slater. Becky Lynch and Alexa Bliss confronted each other one ...
Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton defeated American Alpha Tuesday on SmackDown Live to become the No. 1 contenders for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships. WWE shared how the match ended: Luke Harper appeared ringside at the end of the match to assist Wyatt and Orton, per WWE: Bleacher Report's Kevin Berge thought this was a big match for American Alpha despite the loss:  Chad Gable and Jason Jordan beat five other teams in a Tag Team Turmoil match last week on SmackDown to earn the No. 1 contendership, but they didn't have an opportunity to celebrate. Immediately after eliminating The Usos to come out ...

WWE SmackDown: Live Results, Reaction and Analysis for November 29

Posted by The Doctor Chris Mueller On November - 29 - 2016
Welcome to Bleacher Report's live coverage of the Nov. 29 episode of WWE SmackDown. After winning last week's Tag Team Turmoil match, Jason Jordan and Chad Gable thought they would be receiving a shot at the tag titles. Unfortunately for them, Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt decided they want to face Heath Slater and Rhyno for the belts. The two teams will collide Tuesday to see who gets to fight for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships at this year's Tables, Ladders & Chairs pay-per-view. According to WWE.com, five other matches have been booked for Sunday's event. Unless WWE plans on adding anything else, SmackDown can focus on tying up ...
