TNA Impact Results, Questions and Comments: 3/31/2011

Posted by Rob Belote On March - 31 - 2011
Each week on GuysNation, I do articles where I watch RAW and Smackdown and give my thoughts and analysis on them.  Sometimes they're funny, sometimes they're just recaps, but for the past few months, none of them have been TNA Impact.Tonight, that changes.  At least for tonight.  Or until I get tired of writing this because Impact gets unwatchable.  I was a big fan of WCW and watched Nitro each week, and most episodes of Thunder.  I doubt I'll stop watching Impact halfway through due to its quality, but we'll see.The opening segment was decent, though it was probably a ...

WrestleMania 27: How The Miz and John Cena’s Feud Will End

Posted by Tim Daniels On March - 31 - 2011
The WWE Championship bout between The Miz and John Cena is one of the toughest WrestleMania matches to call in recent memory. With John Cena and The Rock caught up in a war of words over the past month, The Miz has been jettisoned into the background and forced to blindside Cena on a weekly basis in order to remind people he is the champion defending the title on Sunday night. It would seem like the creative team is setting up for Cena to win the WWE Championship at WrestleMania and parlay it into a possible feud with The Rock. It won't ...

WWE WrestleMania 27: Snooki and 7 Other Celebrities We Need to See on the Show

Posted by Graham 'GSM' Matthews On March - 31 - 2011
With Jersey Shore cast member and pop culture sensation Snooki participating in a mixed six-person tag team match at WrestleMania 27 in only a matter of days, it has received many negative reviews among wrestling fans. Being against the critically acclaimed MTV show as it is, I of course am included within the majority. But without a doubt, this is obviously a very smart business move by WWE. Although the rating for Snooki's appearance on RAW a few weeks ago didn't spike ratings, it certainly accumulated much media coverage from many major organizations, TMZ included. As WWE gains more and more mainstream by the ...
Michael Cole has never been a fan favorite. Even before his "official" heel turn he was booed mercilessly by crowds at live events, but was never a true heel character. February 23, 2010 was the first-ever episode of WWE NXT, and with that, Michael Cole began acting like a heel on the air, namely getting into spats with Daniel Bryan. Michael Cole was now a heel. He had made the official turn and the crowd reaction he drew anyways was now warranted. Even though Cole hated Daniel Bryan, he would announce every week how big of a fan he was of The ...

WrestleMania 27: Who Are the Possible Winners?

Posted by Jay McQuade On March - 31 - 2011
I hear a lot of talk of what the WWE Universe thinks is going to go down at WrestleMania XXVII in Atlanta. I like to hear what they think is going to happen, but what I really want to know is what they want to happen at WrestleMania.Does the WWE Universe want to see Alberto Del Rio win the World Heavyweight Championship or do they want to see him get speared? Do they want to see John Cena win the title for the sixth time in seven years or do they want The Miz to show him up, retain the ...

WWE Wrestlemania 27 Discussion: Thoughts and Predictions

Posted by Nate Scaccia On March - 31 - 2011
Well Bleachers, WrestleMania 27 is only three days away and the excitement is building in the WWE Universe. WrestleMania 27 will feature many matches and storylines. I will discuss my views and opinions on the various matches and leave it to you, the readers, to comment with your own predictions and thoughts. The Dark Match Battle Royal WrestleMania always features a dark match before the show starts. This year, the match should be a Battle Royal. The superstars in these matches are usually jobbers and mid-carders, but this year there should be some big names in the match. Superstars left ...

WrestleMania XXVII: A Two-Pronged Look Ahead to Sunday’s Event

Posted by Josh Brewer On March - 31 - 2011
After weeks of hype, we are just a few short days away from the biggest professional wrestling event of the year, WrestleMania. This year's installment is truly a shift toward the youth, meaning the drawing power from the top of the card to the bottom isn't as strong as we have become accustomed to recently. The top of the card is stacked, however and the fuel poured on the main event this past Monday will make for quite the WWE title match. The Streak is once again on the line, a celebrity with no business being in the squared circle ...

Wrestlemania 27: The Georgia Dome’s Foundation Will Shake Sunday

Posted by Micheal Robinson On March - 31 - 2011
ATLANTA—The wrestlers and fans are filing into my hometown of Atlanta, as Wrestlemania weekend is upon us. Earlier this week in New York, The Rock and John Cena locked eyes at the Wrestlemania 27 Press Conference at the Hard Rock Cafe. After Cena's actions on Monday Night Raw—where an Attitude Adjustment from behind left The Rock gasping for air in the middle of the ring as the show closed—leaves The Rock no choice but to exact revenge on Cena. Unfortunately for Cena, he is to compete for the WWE Championship on Sunday night against current champion, The Miz. Now, I keep going back and ...

WWE WrestleMania 27: My First and Hopefully Not Last

Posted by Craig Holland-Greenfield On March - 31 - 2011
Back when I was in high school, my friends and I became fascinated with wrestling and the theatrics of it all. In particular, I was impressed with how these mere men could perform such risky moves and come away unscathed, and how they could captivate thousands upon thousands with simple words. With very limited access to this world, I was left to get my results from the Internet and the early morning highlight shows on weekend television. I even remember Michael Cole as a fresh faced presenter, so imagine my surprise when I saw how far he’d come. In school, ...
