The Impact Zone is Killing TNA

Posted by Ashley Morris On December - 31 - 2009
The following is the second of a series of articles designed to discuss the serious issues that face Total Non-Stop Action Wrestling as fans prepare for the return of Hulk Hogan to prime time, professional wrestling television. In May 2004, TNA Wrestling announced its landmark television deal with Fox Sports Net, allowing the fledgling wrestling company to broadcast a weekly, one-hour show on Fridays. TNA also announced that their new weekly show, TNA Impact!, would be taped from Soundstage 21 in Universal Studios Florida, a well known theme park in Orlando, Fla. Prior to their leasing agreement with Universal Studios, TNA's main ...

Like I Said: Does Anyone Miss The Monday Night Wars?

Posted by Quinn Gammon On December - 31 - 2009
I realized today that it's been some time since I've written an article. I've been busy, like most people during the holidays. I spent the time with my family, not paying a tremendous mind to my writing. And then it hit me. January 4th is what many people are calling the rebirth of the Monday Night Wars, at least for one night. Now, being that the Monday Night War was the subject of my very first piece here on Bleacher Report, it raised a few questions within me.  So I've decided to revisit the subject.   Who will benefit from a reprisal of the ratings ...

Monday Night Wars 2.0: WWE & TNA Going Head-To-Head

Posted by Ryan Maloney On December - 31 - 2009
The Monday Night Wars of professional wrestling have returned, but instead of feeling the competitive heat of Ted Turner's WCW, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon is squaring off with a new enemy—TNA Wrestling.  The seven-year-old company, backed by the hefty wallet of Panda Energy International, will air their first Monday night program on Jan. 4 after years of being exclusive to Thursdays on Spike TV. Not only will TNA intrude on WWE's prized timeslot, they'll be led by WWE's prized icon—Hulk Hogan. Multiple rumors have TNA trying vehemently to sign Ric Flair and Jeff Hardy prior to the ...

Road to Wrestlemania XXVI: How to Use the Top Guy *Humour*

Posted by Jamie Harding On December - 31 - 2009
As 2010, begins so does the road to WrestleMania XXVI. So it is that time of year when WWE fans consider the main event players and wonder how they will fit into the show. Many people wonder who will take on the Streak this year. Will Edge return in time and how will Orton prove that he really is God? However, the key question is actually being completely missed: How will the WWE use their top guy, VKM's favourite superstar and the kids' hero...that's right, Hornswoggle. Firstly, January brings with it the prestigious Royal Rumble and I put it to you that Hornswoggle is the ...

10 WWE Superstar Predictions for 2010

Posted by Scott Manyard On December - 31 - 2009
Recently I have been seeing a lot of prediction articles on BR and felt the need to make one too. I decided that I would take ten current superstars and make predictions on what 2010 has in store for them. Some are already established superstars who have made their impact on the industry while others are still waiting for their time to shine. So without further ado here are the predictions:Begin Slideshow

A WWE Fan’s Memories: The Night I Met Owen Hart

Posted by On December - 30 - 2009
R.I.P. Steve "Dr. Death" Williams. Owen Hart was a superstar who was taken from us earlier than he should have been.  I decided that with Bret coming back to the WWE, I would write an article about his brother. Owen Hart was the youngest of the Hart clan, but in many ways had the most tenacity.  Owen, along with brother Bret, are sons of the late great Stu Hart.  Stu trained all his sons in the ways of the grappling arts, but Owen and Bret took to it the strongest. When Bret and Owen came to the WWE, they were given vastly different ...

Spike TV Is Killing TNA

Posted by Ashley Morris On December - 30 - 2009
The following is the first of a series of articles designed to discuss the serious issues that face Total Non-Stop Action Wrestling as we prepare for the return of Hulk Hogan to prime time pro wrestling television. Hulk Hogan's partnership with Total Non-Stop Action Wrestling (TNA Wrestling) spells doom for the young company, as the announcement of his arrival and the speculation of his intentions have done zilch to solve the many problems TNA already face without him. In fact, Hulk Hogan's name and reputation is the last thing the company needs, while Eric Bischoff could possibly be the true savior of ...

Breaking News: Steve “Dr. Death” Williams Passes Away

Posted by Steven Ransiear On December - 30 - 2009
One of wrestling's all time greats, Steve "Dr. Death" Williams, passed away last night following a lengthy battle with throat cancer. My condolences go out to his family, and he will surely be missed. On a personal note, Williams was my favorite wrestler of all time. I've seen him in everything from Mid-South to WCW to the WWF to All Japan Pro Wrestling. I'll be doing a special look back on his career this weekend, which sadly, is something I never wanted to do. Read more Pro Wrestling news on BleacherReport.com

What I Would Do With ECW

Posted by Gerald Ng On December - 30 - 2009
ECW is shown on SyFy on tuesday nights. Since WWE brought back this reincarnation of the old Extreme Championship Wrestling, it has created new stars such as Sheamus, Kofi Kingston, John Morrison and Jack Swagger, to name a few. Wrestling news websites have rumoured that ECW is going to get a complete revamp come 2010. Here's what I would do if I had the initials V.K.M.Begin Slideshow
