WWE WrestleMania: Is a Small Arena or Stadium Better?

Posted by Rich Kraetsch On March - 31 - 2012
As we quickly approach WrestleMania XXVII in Miami’s Orange Bowl, I wonder if WrestleMania is better served in a smaller arena. From a financial or purely aesthetic feel, the stadiums are unmatched; yet. the crowd elements and history of smaller arenas at WrestleMania make those the better option from a fan’s standpoint. There is no question the large-scale look of WrestleMania inside a stadium is stunning. The last time World Wrestling Entertainment invaded Miami for WrestleMania, they made the typically desolate Citrus Bowl Stadium look stunning. Covering the ring with an outdoor canopy, Vince McMahon and the WWE were able ...

WWE Hall of Fame 2012: 3 Things to Take from Edge’s Legendary Career

Posted by Michael Dixon On March - 31 - 2012
For more than one reason, Edge is a legitimate WWE Hall of Famer. His career was cut short, but a tremendous impact was made on the company by the Rated R Superstar. A lot comes to mind when thinking about Edge. But nothing should be thought of more than the following, which made Edge one of the greatest stars of his or any other time. Unpredictability Today, it's about as predictable as anything in the business. Wrestler A wins the Money in the Bank Briefcase, and he will wait until the end of a title match to cash it in against the beaten ...
In late February, Big Show threw Dolph Ziggler onto Wade Barrett and R-Truth outside the ring near the announce table.Barrett was injured, dislocating his left elbow.Because of that, WWE changed its mind about returning the Money in the Bank match to WrestleMania.A couple weeks later, they had cemented the idea of a 12-man tag match to unify the GM positions of RAW and SmackDown. While this was a bad trade for fans and Barrett, it means four more guys (five if you count Barrett's replacement) get a shot at WrestleMania glory. So who's in now that wouldn't have been otherwise? We can't know, ...

Undertaker vs Triple H: Dead Man’s Streak Will Continue vs. The Game

Posted by Michael Dixon On March - 31 - 2012
There's plenty of intrigue and drama surrounding the WrestleMania 28 Hell in a Cell match between The Undertaker and Triple H. What will Shawn Michaels do? Will this really be the end of an era? Will this be the final match for one or both of these legends? The intrigue is there, but there is no doubt about one thing: The Undertaker's WrestleMania winning streak will continue to 20-0. The reason is simple—nothing else makes sense.Think about all that's happened in this streak. He has downed some of the best wrestlers in the history of the company, even ending the career ...

WWE Rumors: WWE Must Bring Back Brock Lesnar Now

Posted by Donald Wood On March - 31 - 2012
While WrestleMania is the time to showcase the talent that has been killing it all year for the WWE, it’s also time to start the next year of build towards WrestleMania 29.That’s where bringing back former WWE and UFC World Champion Brock Lesnar back to the WWE becomes feasible. A lack of talent throughout the roster and many of the bigger name stars like Undertaker and The Rock walking out after WrestleMania, the WWE has been forced to get creative with their personnel decisions. Wrestling Observer reported about another recent development in the Lesnar saga: Brock Lesnar has arrived in ...
Cody Rhodes had held the WWE Intercontinental Championship belt for more than 230 days, and that amazing run should continue at WrestleMania 28 with a win over Big Show. There's no reason for the rising star to drop the belt on Sunday. The extended title reign has surpassed that of Randy Orton, who held the belt for 210 days during his earlier days with the company. By letting Rhodes maintain a constant presence in mid-card feuds, it shows the WWE has a lot of confidence in his future. He's improved considerably in terms of in-ring skills, and also on the ...
The smart money is on Daniel Bryan losing his World Championship at WrestleMania 28.However, don't expect it to slow his meteoric rise to the top of the WWE.Since his controversial debut as part of the first cast of NXT, Bryan has turned into one of the most compelling stars the company has to offer, and is blossoming into one of WWE's top heels, drawing a strong reaction every time he comes down to the ring. Now, he faces Sheamus on the biggest stage in wrestling, something most people didn't think possible a year ago. And when it's all said and down, he'll be ...
