WWE Survivor Series: Five Things We Learned

Posted by Jeremiah Graves On November - 23 - 2009
At the end of every pay-per-view, we are left with many questions and few answers. However, last night at Survivor Series—in a rare change of pace—we were left with plenty of definitive answers. Sure, there are plenty of questions we can still ask: Who’s next in line for Undertaker’s title? Will JeriShow be able to co-exist as partners? Is Rey Mysterio ever going to be the same? Why do they still book awful women’s matches? The list could go on and on, but questions notwithstanding, here’s a look at five things we learned at last night’s Survivor Series. Begin Slideshow

The Rock Returning To WWE, Possibly For a New Show

Posted by Joe Burgett On November - 22 - 2009
When Dwayne Johnson, better known as The Rock, left the WWE to pursue an acting career, I was happy for him. As a fan of his work, I was happy the dude was doing something successfully where he didn't have to put so much pain on his body. Would I like to see Rocky back in the ring? Yes. As I said, I am a fan. But would I like him to leave Hollywood to come back to a world full-time that could bring him pain? No. I feel if one can be successful in a place where they don't have ...

Memoirs From the Dossier, Part 2: The Homecoming of a Wrestling Fan

Posted by Sulayman H. On November - 22 - 2009
Note: The rumors of me having brutally and accidentally decapitating myself while combing my hair are just that: rumors. Browsing through the remains of what promised to be an electrifying escapade, complete with enough twists and turns to provide me a lifetime of a roller coaster ride, would be a foolish thing to do. Those times are gone, never to return. How I wished I had tried harder to hold on to it; I could have been much more knowledgeable. Such were my hopes for my passion for wrestling, which dwindled to the point where it became ...

TNA Wrestling Adds Another Knockout From Foreign Soil?

Posted by Bill L On November - 22 - 2009
It appears that perhaps TNA is reaching into international territories again to add to its Knockouts Division.   TNAWrestlingNews.com and F4WOnline.com are reporting that TNA is reaching a deal with British women’s wrestler Sweet Saraya Knight.   Most recently, she held the WAWW British Championship. She also co-chairs a long-running British federation with her husband.   There is not much I have been able to find out about Saraya in general, but here are a few tidbits that I came across.   Born Julia Hamer, the 38-year-old hails from Penzance, Cornwall, England and is married to Ricky Knight.   Together, the two of them are majority owners, chairs, and founders ...

Survival of the Fittest: Survivor Series Predictions

Posted by Joel Abraham On November - 22 - 2009
The road to WrestleMania 26 starts tonight! With Survivor Series having become the forgotten event of the traditional "Big Four", WWE has a great chance to build some feuds leading up to the big one next March. Team Mickie vs. Team Michelle I'm not gonna lie and pretend I care about the women's division at the moment, I'll start paying attention when creative actually bother coming up with decent storylines. After the pasting Mickie got on SD, I expect her to get some retribution here, leading to a Mickie vs. Michelle title match. Winner: Mickie   Team Morrison vs. Team Miz Lots of feuds going into ...

I Will SURVIVE! Survivor Series 2009 Preview and Predictions

Posted by Fred Richani On November - 22 - 2009
WWE has hyped Survivor Series pretty well this year. Well...sort of. I love what they've done with the traditional Survivor Series elimination matches, but the WWE Championship triple threat build up has been extremely suspect at best. Regardless of all that, this card looks damn good on paper and definitely a lot better than last year's lackluster showing by far. It's time to preview and predict Survivor Series 2009!   Mickie James, WWE Divas Champion Melina, Kelly Kelly, Eve Torres, and Gail Kim vs. WWE Womens Champion Michelle McCool, Beth Phoenix, Jillian Hall, Alicia Fox and Layla (Survivor Series Elimination Match) WWE has trained us ...

My Journey to the Palace of Wisdom

Posted by Mike Salvatore On November - 22 - 2009
With John Morrison’s stock rising in the WWE, I wanted to get to know the man behind the abs to gain some perspective about who John Morrison really is.   My pestering and prodding scored me an interview with the Guru of Greatness (eat your heart out, John Harris!!) at his home; the Palace of Wisdom!   The following is a true account of what occurred on my trip to the palace…   I was initially shocked to discover that the Palace of Wisdom is actually located in San Antonio, Texas. This came as a huge surprise to me because John Morrison brags about being an ...

Dolph Ziggler Continues to Lose When it Counts: My Latest Gripe

Posted by Shane H. On November - 21 - 2009
The man formerly known as Nicky from the Spirit Squad has been making his presence felt on the WWE's blue brand. Dolph Ziggler is one of WWE's future main eventers. Like the guy or not, he's got tons of talent. Natural charisma, microphone skills, in-ring abilities, he's got all those things. With that said, why are we witnessing this guy losing momentum? From the middle of the summer until now, Ziggler has been embroiled in battles over the Intercontinental Championship. He is still without the necessary check in the "Wins" column. July, at Night of Champions, Ziggler lost to then-champion Rey Mysterio. The next ...

WWE Survivor Series 2009 Preview and Predictions

Posted by Justin Young On November - 21 - 2009
The 23rd annual Survivor Series takes place in just 24 hours, and the card is unlike any that we have seen this year. Two Triple-Threat matches with major titles on the line, and tons of Traditional Survivor Series action in store. Let's get to the card.   MATCH 1: Team Mickie (Mickie James, Divas Champion Melina, Gail Kim, Kelly Kelly, Eve Torres) vs. Team Michelle (Women's Champion Michelle McCool, Jillian Hall, Beth Phoenix, Layla, Alicia Fox) Something the WWE Universe is not used to seeing is an all-Divas Survivor Series match. Both sides have their strong points, with former Women's Champs James, Melina, and ...

The Rock Back With WWE, Hulkamania Tour Update

Posted by On November - 21 - 2009
Reports have surfaced recently that The Rock will be working closely with WWE on an upcoming project and possibly do some more appearances at shows. In a recent interview Johnson was quoted saying: "I love that world and being able to entertain, especially if I could go back whether it's on Smackdown and do a promo or guest-host or we could create this cool show, whatever that may be," Johnson said. "Especially now, I'm at the point where I can go back and give back to the fans and help out the guys in any way I can." He later went ...
