Bret Hart: The Face of the 1990s WWF(Unofficial CvC)
On December - 22 - 2009
Note:This is unofficial as Shane has already put up the voting. I was told I could've put it up on Tuesday, but whatever.
"The Best There Is, The Best There Was, The Best There Ever Will Be" is a slogan that Bret Hart went around with while wrestling in the WWF.
The rise and fall of Bret Hart was well documented. The fall was of course, the Montreal Screwjob. The rise? Well, let's get into that now.
Discovering Wrestling
For Bret, it all started in his dad's promotion of Stampede Wrestling. At that point, Hart said that he did not at all see ...
Crunching the Numbers: A Look At WWE Programming in General
On December - 22 - 2009
WWE is by far the largest wrestling company in the world. They have performed in dozens of countries around the globe, maybe over 100, and remains the most sought-after employer by anyone who wrestles.
WWE has been a giant in the entertainment industry for decades, beginning as WWF back when Vince Sr. was in charge of the company. Since Vince Jr. bought his father's company, he has turned it into an entirely different beast.
Since WWE began being the only game in town, they have been adding new programming to their schedule. I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a ...
All I Want For Christmas Is a Matt Hardy Push
On December - 22 - 2009
This Christmas, as I write my letter to Santa, there's one thing I want above all else: A Matt Hardy push. For all those who don't believe in Santa, guess what I wished for last year ?
Matt Hardy is one of the most talented and recognizable wrestlers in the world today. He's done virtually everything Professional Wrestling has to offer, creating an impressive résumé most wrestlers couldn't even dream of.
He broke into the WWE as a jobber when he was 18 years old, earning an official WWE contract 4 years later in 1998. Back then, pushes weren't just handed out ...
Quick Looks: A Look Back at the Departing Sheik Abdul Bashir
On December - 22 - 2009
As we know, Sheik Abdul Bashir was the unfortunate recipient of the “Fired” case during the “Feast or Fired” match at Final Resolution this past Sunday. His TNA contract was immediately terminated at the end of that match.
Some out there may wonder in a match like this if such firings are simply short term storyline exits or if they are completely legitimate firings. In the case of the Sheik, this departure is legitimate. He spent a part of his time Sunday evening before the event saying goodbye to fellow colleagues.
We remember Shawn Daivari (his real name) making his first prominent ...

Thoughts on Tommy Dreamer leaving the WWE from The Worlds Biggest Mark
On December - 22 - 2009
It's a dark day or possibly a new beginning for fans of the legendary "Hardcore Icon" Tommy Dreamer.
According to Mike Johnson of Pro Wrestling Insider, the last of the "ECW Originals", WWE Superstar Tommy Dreamer, has requested a release from WWE.
PWI Insider reports that the thought among many wrestlers was that Monday night was going to be Dreamer's last night on the road with the company.
Tommy Dreamer was backstage at WWE's Smackdown/ECW house show event in Fort Myers, FL on Monday night and made a scheduled signing appearance on Monday afternoon with Mickie James.
Mickie James posted the following on her Twitter ...
Goodbye For Now B/R Wrestling Section
On December - 22 - 2009
For over a year now I have been writing here on B/R. I have over 700 articles, a ton of fans, and became a featured columnist. I was very happy to reach all of these accomplishments of course, but it is thanks to you, the reader.
I have to stop writing for a while however. I love this place, and would never leave forever. I'm not one who wants to leave because I was hurt by anyone, or want to get revenge on the site or anything like that.
I simply have to go for a little while. I realized that we ...
The Young Bucks: Could We See Another Young Tag Team in TNA?
On December - 22 - 2009
It appears that there is a new tag team that could be making their way into TNA.
The Young Bucks are a hot young tag team that has most recently been involved within ROH. Matt and Nick Massie (who go by Matt and Nick Jackson in the ring) are from Southern California and have had a lifelong love of wrestling.
With Nick weighing 178 lbs, and Matt weighing 172 lbs, they are not large men but they are very athletic high-fliers.
In 2004 with the help of family, Matt started his own promotion. High Risk Wrestling ran a number of shows in California. ...
New Developments in the Jeff Hardy Court Case, Innocence Highly Likely
On December - 21 - 2009
Recently, I decided to dive further into the Jeff Hardy drug trafficking charges. I wrote an article about two months ago, citing that Hardy was probably innocent of the drug trafficking charges simply because the police packed charges on.
For those of you who didn't see the article, I discovered some information regarding the Hardy case, and wrote about it here. I wrote that the police set Hardy up to arrest and question him, as well as search his home.
Information stated that there was an anonymous tip given to the police regarding drug abuse and trafficking at Jeff Hardy's place of ...
Creature vs. Creature: Time to Vote for the Greatest Face of a Promotion
On December - 21 - 2009
First off, I am extremely upset because after announcing this contest several weeks ago, I had an article with over 500 reads and 92 comments where many gave their choices of stars they would write about. Then, the deadline for articles comes and goes and the turnout is abysmal. More abysmal than a Jillian Hall title run, folks.
Anyway, there were a total of six pieces submitted. It is now up to you, the readers, to choose who you think did the best job of making a case for their chosen superstars.
If you have not read the articles, or care to ...
