Breaking News: TNA Wrestling Moving Back To Thursday Nights

Posted by Joe Burgett On May - 3 - 2010
After a little over three months of going head-to-head with WWE RAW, it is being reported that TNA iMPACT, TNA Wrestling's only TV show, is expected to move back to its former timeslot on Thursday nights. An official announcement is expected to come tonight live on iMPACT. If you ask me, this is a great move for TNA Wrestling. They obviously are years away from being able to legitimately compete with World Wrestling Entertainment's flagship show WWE RAW. People are seemingly always complaining about me talking negative about TNA, well, here is me being positive. This is a great move by ...

TNA Wrestling Breaking News: iMPACT Moving Back To Thursdays

Posted by Tc Vreeland On May - 3 - 2010
Earlier today, TNA president Dixie Carter posted the following message on her Facebook page: TNA will make a major announcement during tonight's TNA iMPACT! on Spike TV at 8ET/7CT. We strive to deliver what our fans want, and the next step in the evolution of the TNA brand will do just that. Ryan Clark of ewrestlingnews.com is now reporting that TNA officials announced to the wrestlers at a meeting this afternoon that iMPACT is going back to Thursday nights. While we won't know the details until tonight's live broadcast, we can speculate that this will happen. TNA's ratings have been very low and the feeling among many, ...

WWE: Breaking Down The Epic Promo Between Christian and Edge

Posted by Captain Charisma On May - 3 - 2010
After watching Smackdown this following week, I think that all the WWE PEEPS that were worried that Smackdown could not rebound by the supposed mauling they took at the WWE Draft had their fears alleviated. Smackdown produced a show that had a great match in Cody Rhodes vs John Morrison which highlighted what many of us had forgotten during his time with Legacy; that Cody is a damn good singles worker and a damn good heel to boot. Kofi Kingston and Chris Jericho produced another good match thus ending their epic five-day feud. We had an angle-furthering tag-team bout between the ...

Would Getting Shane Helms and Matt Hardy Help TNA?

Posted by Chris Mueller AKA The Dude On May - 3 - 2010
Ever since Jeff Hardy made his first return to TNA months ago, people have been speculating that some of his friends and family may be following him to the southern wrestling promotion. Shannon Moore is in TNA with his long-time friend Hardy, but people are still waiting on the rest of the core group.  For those who don't follow the Hardys on Twitter, the "Core" group is how they refer to some of their friends and family. The main four I speak of are Matt and Jeff Hardy, Shannon Moore, and Shane Helms (I  refuse to call him "Gregory" now that he's left ...

WWE: Is Ted Dibiase Ready to Run His Own Stable?

Posted by Chris Mueller AKA The Dude On May - 3 - 2010
Word on the IWC is that Ted Dibiase's new stable will be debuting soon.  The rumored name of the new stable will be The Fortunate Sons and it will feature Ted's brother Brett as well as Joe Hennig, son of the late great Mr. Perfect. Ted Dibiase and Cody Rhodes just left legacy around Wrestlemania, and it appears as if WWE already plans to give Dibiase his own crew to run with.  First question is why did they not keep Cody around for this stable?  He has just as much wrestling background as Ted, and just as much family history in ...
Let me say it right off the bat: Chavo Guerrero isn't that good. He's not a bad wrestler. There's nothing wrong with him. But there's nothing special about him either. If anything, he's lucky to still be feuding with the much more popular Hornswoggle. Deep down inside you know it. Chavo is way past his prime at 39 years old. His ability to fly is limited at best. He has little charisma, hardly any mic skills, a move-set that is slightly better than John Cena's, no size, and no special look. There is pretty much nothing marketable about him at all. Looking back on his WWE career, ...
People have been asking for the past month why Christopher Daniels' bio is STILL up on TNAWrestling.com when he left the company for ROH last month. It was the biggest surprise in pro-wrestling for some time, as no one saw it coming. Daniels apparently did not have a no compete clause in his contract, so he pulled a big one over on TNA by leaving for ROH. In fact, some of the talent watching ROH's Big Bang PPV, the event in which Daniels surprisingly appeared, were just as surprised as anyone else at the event or watching at home, as most ...

WWE: Are The Unified Tag Belts Good Or Bad?

Posted by Joseph 90 On May - 2 - 2010
Since Wrestlemania XXV, when the WWE tag champions, The Colons, defeated John Morrison and The Miz for their World tag championships, both belts have been unified together. For over a year now, the unified tag belts have been won by various teams, which have become very successful in their defense to keep both belts. For me, I feel that unifying both of the tag team championship belts has left alot of tag teams wrestling either against each other or just wrestling for the sake of it. For example: Cryme Tyme, Shad turned on JTG because he was sick of not having success ...

The People’s Champion: Happy Birthday to The Rock

Posted by Jason Taylor On May - 2 - 2010
Happy 38th Birthday to Dwayne Johnson, born in Hayward, California on May 2, 1972. Johnson will always be known to wrestling fans worldwide as, "The Most Electrifying Man In Sports Entertainment," The Rock. Johnson followed his father, Rocky Johnson and grand-father, High Chief Peter Maivia into the wrestling business. Johnson made his WWE debut in 1996 at the Survivor Series as Rocky Maivia, and he clinched a victory for his team by eliminating Crush and Goldust by pinfall. Maivia suffered a serious knee injury after winning the Intercontinental Championship from Hunter Hearst Helmsley, and during his recovery period he came up with his persona ...

The Plight of the WWE’s Dying Tag Team Division

Posted by Jacob Waring On May - 2 - 2010
Here's a sad, pathetic fact about the WWE Tag Team Division: There are only three official tag teams in the entire WWE. The Hart Dynasty, The Dudebusters, and The Straight-Edge Society. With only three teams, I fear that the division is on the brink of extinction. The WWE unified the tag team belts not to add prestige to the titles but because there are not enough tag teams around to wrestle for belts. Let's compare the Tag Team Division to, let's say, the Tag Team Division in 1999. In 1999 there were about 18 tag teams. You had The Corporation, The Ministry, The Union, The Corporate Ministry, Acolytes, The ...
