WWE TLC: Biggest Reasons Non-Wrestling Fans Must Watch PPV

Posted by Andrew Kulha On December - 17 - 2011
Why would a non-wrestling fan ever pay money to watch WWE TLC?That's the question that is currently running through my head, and will most likely permeate my thoughts as I contemplate whether or not I should throw down my hard earned money on this event.Full disclosure, I am not a fan of wrestling. It's not the fact that I dislike it, and it's not because I think it's dumb. I'm not a fan because I simply never got into it when I was a kid.I am under the impression that the WWE is something that's in your blood.I know full well ...

WWE TLC 2011: Zack Ryder and Dolph Ziggler Are Ready To Become Legends

Posted by Donald Wood On December - 17 - 2011
While many have overlooked Dolph Ziggler defending his US title against Zack Ryder in their match of the night predictions, this bout has all the potential to steal the show. WWE isn’t investing very much into this TLC pay-per-view, which should allow the duo of Ziggler and Ryder to work the kind of extended match that can turn them into legends. Many fans think that Ryder must win the US title to make this feud successful. I think a dirty victory for Ziggler would actually be the better step forward for both of these stars. With Ziggler cheating his way to ...

WWE TLC 2011: Randy Orton and Superstars That Must Rescue PPV

Posted by Mike Chiari On December - 17 - 2011
While the card for WWE's TLC pay-per-view on Sunday looks fairly solid, there isn't much to truly reel in the viewers. Basically, all of the matches have the potential to be pretty good, with the exception of Mark Henry vs. Big Show, but good matches on paper don't always come to fruition. For those that do buy this pay-per-view, they will be looking for a significant return on their $60 investment. Survivor Series ended up being worth it last month, and next month's Royal Rumble is almost guaranteed to be good, but TLC has been hit or miss in the past. With ...

WWE Raw: Jack Swagger Is the Next Big WWE Superstar to Turn Face

Posted by Justin Watry On December - 17 - 2011
At last check, Jack Swagger was still a member of Monday night Raw. I understand brands do not mean much anymore, but he is still on the Red Brand.Truth be told, I watched ECW during its entire run on Tuesdays. From 2006-2010, I really enjoyed the show. Once the old timers were gone, WWE really took advantage of the extra hour on television. One talent who got a break on ECW was Jack Swagger. He did not stand above the rest, but (like Sheamus on ECW) you knew something was there. He was a wrestler to take note of.Less than a ...

WWE TLC 2011: Rob Van Dam and 4 Other Stars That Ruled TLC Matches

Posted by Donald Wood On December - 17 - 2011
With the WWE’s TLC Pay-Per-View just a few hours away, it’s time to look back on the stars that made it possible for WWE to put a show together this intriguing. For this slideshow, I ranked singles performers instead of tag teams because the trio of Edge and Christian, the Dudleyz and the Hardyz would be far and above the best ever. The following list is of the best TLC workers in wrestling history. While hardcore wrestling is a fairly new innovation in the sport, it already has a list of all-time greats that will give any wrestling fan a ...

WWE Is the Fountain of Youth for Professional Wrestlers

Posted by Jack Windham On December - 17 - 2011
At the WWE Tables, Ladders and Chairs this Sunday, a 52-year-old man (with a banged up body) is in possession of one of the most coveted spots in the business. He's working a pay-per-view match against one of the biggest names in the game.Look over the card, and you will find that a 46-year-old man is also working a match. He had been semi-retired and was working as a commentator.WrestleMania is the biggest wrestling event in the world. Everyone that has ever stepped foot inside of a wrestling ring wants to be booked for that show.Last year, a 61-year-old man ...

WWE: Kane Attacks Cena Again at House Show, Is This the Start of a Feud?

Posted by Chris Mueller AKA The Doctor On December - 17 - 2011
Last night YouTube user Lovey3113 uploaded a video from the most recent house show which shows another attack on Cena by the returning Kane. I had speculated in an earlier article about the possibility of Kane and Cena going into a feud after Kane returned this past Monday and choke-slammed Cena before revealing his new mask. It looks more likely that this may now be happening after the second attack on Cena in a single week. Granted, this was at a house show and would not be seen by most people, but why have him do it at all? The logical ...

Kane vs. Cena: The WWE Must Be Careful in Booking the Pair

Posted by T. Schaefer On December - 17 - 2011
Last Monday, Kane returned in a dynamite fashion. While John Cena was struggling in the ring with Mark Henry, the arena darkened and fire soared from the ramp. Kane sauntered down to the wearing a mask reminiscent of Predator. As Henry looked like his life was flashing before his eyes, the "World's Strongest Man" wisely departed the ring. Cena got up in a daze and met the business end of a massive choke slam. As Kane stood over the fallen Cena, he took off his mask to reveal another mask that's more inline with his style. The show subsequently faded to black. ...

WWE TLC 2011: Predicting the Winners of Each Match at the Next PPV

Posted by Chris Mueller AKA The Doctor On December - 17 - 2011
WWE's annual TLC PPV is tomorrow night, so I figured what better way to preview the event than by trying to predict the winners of each match?Unless things change there are a total of six matches on the card for the night: Cody Rhodes vs Booker T, Mark Henry vs Bog Show, Triple H vs Kevin Nash, Dolph Ziggler vs Zack Ryder, Randy Orton vs Wade Barrett and CM Punk vs Miz vs Del Rio.Out of these six matches, four of them are for titles. The only titles not being defended are the Divas title and the Tag titles. There is ...

WWE News: Who Would Stone Cold Steve Austin Face in Final Career Match?

Posted by Chris Humphrey On December - 17 - 2011
It has been a long seven years since the former six-time WWE Champion "Stone Cold" Steve Austin has graced a ring in a wrestling capacity since leaving Seattle's Safeco Field after being defeated by The Rock at WrestleMania XIX. Could we ever see the WWE Hall of Famer return to the ring for one final match to cap his career? According to Marc Middleton, via ProWrestling.com, Steve Austin wrote the following to a fan on Twitter yesterday: "I wouldn't even consider stepping back in the ring for one more match unless @JRsBBQ was calling it. #bestannouncer."  If Austin ever does return for ...
