WWE News: Vince McMahon Comments on the Debut of the WWE Network in 2012

Posted by Chris Humphrey On April - 28 - 2012
Following the announcement of creation of the WWE Network last year, to debut sometime this year, the new venture by the WWE has gone through a number of obstacles in the course to going on the air in the homes of the WWE universe. Over the past few months, it has been reported that the WWE Network hasn’t gotten any major cable provider to pick up the channel on their lineups of subscription channels. In addition to this, the entire channel was pushed back until later this fall, when it was originally going to debut at WrestleMania. During the annual stockholder’s ...

WWE Extreme Rules 2012 Preview: Full Match Card Predictions

Posted by Justin Watry On April - 28 - 2012
Tomorrow night, WWE returns to pay-per-view. After the spectacle that is Wrestle Mania, it is always a huge feat to make a great event just a few weeks later. I think WWE did a nice job this April.Every match has a lot of potential to deliver. While all of them will not be a classic, they should be able to entertain the paying audience. With that being said, let's get to each and every match for Extreme Rules!Begin Slideshow

WWE Smackdown: Too Many New Talents Getting Too Much, Too Soon?

Posted by Justin Watry On April - 28 - 2012
Let me put up a few notes before I begin: 1. I love new talents being introduced every year after WrestleMania. 2. Each new or fresh talent has been impressive, and I look forward to their work. 3. This will focus mostly on SmackDown, with a little bit on Raw. With that said, WWE may be setting themselves up for a disaster here. Not right now! However, this entire roster could be very bloated in a few months. This is just a warning. On Raw, Lord Tensai is currently winning short matches. He had one main event with John Cena ...
Last night on Friday Night Smackdown, Jinder Mahal interrupted Michael Cole's interview with Randy Orton about his match with Kane at Extreme Rules. As Jinder was about to leave the ring (before getting RKO’d by Randy Orton), "USA" chants erupted from the Grand Rapids, Mich., crowd. The chants seemed inappropriate considering Jinder's problem was with Randy Orton, not the United States of America. There have been many other times throughout WWE history when American fans' USA chants have been embarrassingly inappropriate. At WrestleMania IX in Las Vegas, Nev., Yokozuna faced Bret Hart for the WWE Championship. During the match, the fans often chanted ...
Hello again and welcome to Marking Out and boy has this has been another interesting week inside Raw as we get closer to this Sunday's Extreme Rules PPV. In hindsight, if people dislike this upcoming PPV, I think this Raw could be pointed to as the cause of it failing.  In the second feud of Raw, WWE Champion CM Punk was forced to do a field sobriety test in the center of the ring in front of Chris Jericho, Teddy Long and a couple cops. Why the feud involving the WWE Champion is the second-biggest feud on a program is ...

WWE Extreme Rules: How Brock Beats Cena, Who Walks out Champ

Posted by Justin LaBar On April - 24 - 2012
Extreme Rules normally has the unpleasant task of having to be the pay-per-view to follow WrestleMania, but this year, I think the show has every chance to be worth the money. The return of Brock Lesnar obviously is the top draw of curiosity. This match, as I explain in the video, is going to have a handicap to it, but could have a surprising outcome that even those adamant on Cena losing wouldn't have imagined. CM Punk in his hometown defending the title again against Chris Jericho. They had a good solid match at WrestleMania, but I know I wasn't ...
The WWE changing the character of a wrestler is certainly nothing new.  Eddie Fatu made his wrestling debut in the forgettable tag team Three Minute Warning, whose claim to fame was being Eric Bischoff’s hired muscle, only to re-emerge months later as the savage Samoan beast Umaga.Dustin Rhodes began his career as “The Natural” Dustin Rhodes, but found greater success in WWE as Goldust. Neither Fatu nor Rhodes, however, dealt with what Lord Tensai is dealing with right now, and that is the fans constantly reminding him of his old gimmicks. Consider this. Three-minute warning had only a year run ...
Last night's three-hour Raw Supershow opened with the pyro going off inside the arena. Michael Cole welcomed everyone to a sold-out Raw, live from Detroit, Mich. The camera moved to the ring and it had been set up for a contract signing. Theodore "Teddy" Long was in the ring. He welcomed us to the Extreme Rules main event contract signing and brought John Cena out first.Teddy Long then introduced Brock Lesnar next. When Brock's music hit, John Cena looked a little worried. We were expecting to see Brock Lesnar, but John Laurinaitis came out instead. He asked Teddy what he was ...
On Sunday, April 29, the WWE will hold the fourth annual Extreme Rules pay-per-view. The show has traditionally featured more "extreme" matches. For example, matches generally have stipulations that allow for the use of weapons.Championships can be defended in Last Man Standing matches, inside a steel cage, in a Ladder match or in a No Holds Barred match, just to name a few. In its short history, this event has produced quite a few memorable championship matches.CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho in a Street Fight for the WWE Championship and Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus in a 2 out of 3 Falls ...
