WWE Monday Night Raw, Nov. 26: GSM’s Analysis and Aftermath

Posted by Graham 'GSM' Matthews On November - 27 - 2012
On the final November edition of Monday Night Raw, controversy and chaos ensued in what was a highly entertaining three-hour broadcast. On a night where wrestling took precedence, we witnessed three extremely enjoyable matches and a handful of other segments that helped successfully build toward the WWE TLC pay-per-view in just a few short weeks. Here, I will analyze each significant segment presented on the show. I will also provide a combination of prediction and wishful thinking about what I hope to see in coming weeks. Ryback def. Titus O'Neil w/Darren YoungBasic match with Ryback defeating Titus O'Neil. Having Ryback kick off the show yet again shows ...

Benefits and Ramifications of The Rock Defeating CM Punk for WWE Title

Posted by Donald Wood On November - 27 - 2012
When The Rock returned at Raw 1000, he proclaimed that he would fight whoever had the WWE tile at the 2013 edition of the Royal Rumble (h/t WWE on Twitter). With CM Punk likely retaining his title through the Tables, Ladders and Chairs pay-per-view against Ryback before dropping the belt to the People’s Champion at the Rumble, there are serious benefits and ramifications from this move. F4WOnline is reporting via Wrestling Inc. about why Punk continued to hold the belt through the fall and why the WWE never had any intention of letting him drop the title: We noted before ...

Update on the Release of WWE Studios Film Leprechaun: Origins

Posted by Sharon Glencross On November - 27 - 2012
It looked to be an interesting idea when it was announced by WWE earlier this year that Dylan "Hornswoggle" Postl would be taking the lead in upcoming WWE Studios/Lionsgate horror reboot Leprechaun: Origins. Not only is it the first starring role for Postl, a longtime WWE performer, but it marks WWE's first foray in the remake/reboot genre that is currently all the rage in Hollywood. On paper, the company is probably better jumping on an popular existing franchise than starting from scratch. The original Leprechaun starring Warwick Davis and a pre-stardom Jennifer Aniston was released in 1993 and went on to become a cult hit with horror ...
Well, the title says it all. In fact, this could change the current main-event landscape, if the WWE actually goes through with it.According to PWInsider.com (via WrestleZone.com): PWInsider.com is reporting there's been talk of inserting Vickie Guerrerro's job and or [sic] Dolph Ziggler's Money in the Bank briefcase to the feud between Ziggler and John Cena. No word yet on if this will happen at an upcoming match or pay-per-view but the idea continues to come up. Ultimately, I can't imagine that the company would allow Ziggler to lose his briefcase. Especially considering that Cena is rumored to be his ...
Perhaps nobody in the history of professional wrestling has gone from heel to face and back again as many times as Big Show. He has settled in as a monster heel over the past several months, however, and it has become quite obvious that he is much better off because of it.While Big Show's heel turn was less than enjoyable as he joined forces with John Laurinaitis and became a sellout, he has definitely settled into his role. Big Show has had a lot of practice as both a heel and a face over the years, as I count no ...

Tensai: Why WWE Must Cut Its Losses and Repackage Him

Posted by Mike Chiari On November - 27 - 2012
When Tensai made his WWE debut the night after WrestleMania XXVIII, it seemed like the company had huge plans for him. He quickly defeated top stars like John Cena and CM Punk, but his push was derailed and it has gotten to the point where he and the WWE would be best off if Tensai was repackaged. There was a great deal of hype surrounding the Lord Tensai character when vignettes aired touting his debut and even though expectations were tempered to some degree when it was leaked that the identity of Lord Tensai was Albert, a lot of fans were ...

Where Is the John Cena/A.J. Lee Angle Going?

Posted by Sharon Glencross On November - 27 - 2012
Never mind Days of our Lives or The Bold and The Beautiful, for wrestling fans the real must-see soap opera is currently taking place on Raw. Per the storyline, WWE Diva A.J. Lee was forced to resign from her GM position several weeks ago after scandalous allegations emerged that she was dating John Cena outside of work out. While the pair strongly denied it—adamant that they simply friends and nothing more—new Managing Supervisor Vickie Guerrero has set out to prove there is an illicit relationship and A.J.’s firing was wholly justified. For this mission, she’s recruited Dolph Ziggler, as well as, ...
As we all know by now, the WWE announced its main event for December's pay-per-view offering. The announcement came during Monday night's Raw, as Vickie Guerrero catered to Ryback's request and granted him a match against CM Punk for the WWE title at TLC.Then, out of fear and frustration, she also met Ryback's stipulation request to make it a traditional "Tables, Ladders, and Chairs" match by allowing both opponents to use their weapon of choice for the match, while also helping the company sell the event, considering it's named after that very match. Now, news is coming from WrestlingInc.com, that the stipulation ...

Why Tamina May Be the Wrong Choice to Protect Vickie Guerrero

Posted by Bryan Haas On November - 27 - 2012
Former Raw general manager AJ Lee was put on notice on Raw that if she had any intention of physically confronting Raw managing supervisor Vickie Guerrero in the future, the path would need to go through Tamina Snuka. The daughter of WWE Hall of Famer “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka is far from a newcomer to the company, making her debut in 2010 as the valet of the Usos. Wrestling fans knew of her pedigree, and along with the second-generation tag team, they enjoyed short-lived success. Since then, she has been relegated to the occasional Divas ...

WWE Raw Results: Ranking the Matches from the Latest Episode

Posted by Cody Guinn On November - 27 - 2012
When WWE's flagship show Raw was still two hours, fans were complaining that the show was full of segments and there wasn't enough wrestling. Now, you hear many fans complaining about the three hours, but I'm not complaining about anything after the latest episode of Raw.Monday's episode featured nine matches that all were all fairly enjoyable. Now, did they all make sense? No, not really, but if you're a fan of actually wrestling, it shouldn't matter what storyline the match has to do with. Nonetheless, we were treated to three pay-per-view-caliber matches that didn't disappoint. I usually produce a good, bad and ...
