WWE Payback 2016: Date, Start Time, Matches, Live Stream, PPV Info

Shane McMahon's statement on Monday's Raw that WWE Payback 2016 was "the first pay-per-view of a new era" has the potential to be more than just a tagline. The event is so loaded with fresh faces and new blood that it could well be the truth. On Sunday, May 1 at 8 p.m ET, AJ Styles will challenge for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, Baron Corbin will seek a big win, Sami Zayn will battle Kevin Owens and a team freshly plucked from NXT will surely move into tag title contention. WWE may not take advantage of all those rising stars, but the ...
Vince McMahon's handing over control of Raw to his son Shane at WWE Payback 2016 will create sparks that morph into a fire that burns on into SummerSlam. Don't expect a resolution at Sunday's pay-per-view but instead a shifting of power that further complicates a convoluted story. All signs point to Shane McMahon remaining at the helm but with his sister Stephanie McMahon ready to claw her way back to being in charge of Raw once more. On Monday's Raw, WWE made an addition to the Payback card, announcing that Vince will decide which of his children will run the company's marquee show at ...
1. WWE's League of Nations as Forgettable as the Real-Life Group All the ingredients for a thriving faction seemed to be there. The League of Nations boasted two former world champions, an elite brawler in Sheamus and a top-notch in-ring performer in Alberto Del Rio. It featured King Barrett, a compelling talker and proven leader. Add a promising powerhouse in Rusev and the quartet's bond as foreign heels, and it was easy to project success for them. It never came. With the faction seemingly set to disband, each member has to be relieved. They just never clicked together. In a Spanish-language interview with SoloWrestling.com (h/t Wrestling Inc), Del ...
WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair reportedly received medical treatment at Boston's Logan International Airport for a cut on his hand Wednesday.  Per TMZ Sports, airport police Sgt. Donlon said medical personnel responded to a call about a "man with a cut on his hand" who was then treated and allowed to board his flight.  Per TMZ's report, multiple witnesses said Flair was "acting like a drunk person," being loud and obnoxious and "shambling about." However, Donlon told the site that during Flair's treatment he was deemed to be not drunk and was allowed to get on the plane. A representative told TMZ the ...
Two of NXT's hottest tag teams graduate to the main roster in spectacular style on pay-per-view this Sunday. WWE Payback 2016 is the setting for Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady and The Vaudevillains to try to move within one victory of becoming the WWE tag team champions just under a month since stepping up from NXT into the big leagues. If fan support dictated which side was the victor, Enzo and Cass would be overwhelming favorites to progress and score a win in their pay-per-view debuts. However, things aren't always that simple. Let's assess the impact both sides have made thus far and their interactions ...

Picking apart the newest round of WWE rumors reminds one not to panic. The Undertaker pulled out of the European tour, but that doesn't mean he's retiring. Speculation about his future refuses to go away. The fact that The Deadman will not join the rest of the WWE roster in Europe only increased that. While it may be a surprising reason to do so, one report ...
