WWE SmackDown was a blur as it marched toward TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs. The show spent only minimal time reflecting on Sunday's Survivor Series before zeroing in on the Dec. 4 pay-per-view. SmackDown created title matches, moved contenders into place and advanced rivalries. Everything had meaning. Even Dean Ambrose's goofy shenanigans. Baron Corbin and Kalisto's feud intensified. American Alpha barreled toward the SmackDown Tag Team Championships. Becky Lynch flexed her muscles before her upcoming title bout. By the end of SmackDown, fans knew that The Miz will take on Dolph Ziggler in a ladder match at TLC and Nikki Bella will battle Carmella in a ...

Posted by Erik Beaston On November - 22 - 2016
Anytime WWE presents a pay-per-view as significant as Survivor Series, there are destined to be rumors swirling around top stars. That is the case this week as the face of the extravaganza caused speculation regarding his status with Vince McMahon's company. While some of that speculation was cleared up on Monday's Raw, there was still news to be found in regard to the iconic competitor. Another of the names drawing buzz is a reality television starlet whose scheduled appearance at the Nov. 20 pay-per-view did not quite go as planned. Those two stars, whose statuses were discussed on Dave Meltzer's Wrestling Observer Radio, anchor ...

WWE Raw: Burning Questions to Address After Nov. 21 Show

Posted by Ryan Dilbert On November - 22 - 2016
The WWE Raw after Sunday's Survivor Series pay-per-view wasted no time in marching toward new title matches, rivalries and major moments.  Goldberg showed up to make an announcement about his next match. The New Day toppled one set of challengers and watched familiar faces claim the No. 1 contenders' spot soon after. Big Cass found a new place to direct his anger. Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens, meanwhile, hinted at a future where Jeri-KO is no more. All of these developments created a slew of unknowns. How will WWE use Goldberg's presence in 2017's first marquee bout? What's the shelf life of the ...

WWE SmackDown: Potential Spoilers, Rumors, News and Preview for Nov. 22

Posted by Ryan Dilbert On November - 22 - 2016
The stars of WWE SmackDown will have to lick their wounds and move on to the new fights that await them. The roster fell short in the brand warfare that encompassed Sunday's Survivor Series pay-per-view, losing two out of three elimination matches against Team Raw. Kalisto also failed to dethroned Raw's Brian Kendrick. But there's little time to mope. The build to the TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs PPV on Dec. 4 has to start right away. Tuesday's SmackDown is set to feature a chance for one team to close in on the gold. The tag team division will collide to decide the No. 1 contender to Heath ...
After a one-sided loss to Goldberg at Sunday's Survivor Series, Brock Lesnar is now embroiled in what is arguably his most intriguing feud to date. There's a good chance that WWE hasn't seen the last of Goldberg vs. Lesnar. WWE has demonstrated a familiar pattern of Lesnar return matches with opponents such as Triple H, John Cena and The Undertaker. Goldberg likely won't be an exception.  But moving forward, it will be more productive for Lesnar to feud with an up-and-coming star, and one who isn't even currently on the main roster. Lesnar will hardly be damaged by even a dominating loss to ...

WWE Raw Results: Biggest Winners, Losers and Moments from November 21

Posted by Erik Beaston On November - 22 - 2016
The march to WWE Roadblock: End of the Line began Monday night on Raw, with Superstars from the top of the card to the bottom jockeying for position ahead of the December 18 event. Some men and women were more successful than others, earning "winner" status for this week's broadcast. They were champions successfully defending their titles, massive ass-kickers asserting their dominance and a charismatic star who earned himself a title opportunity. Not everyone was as lucky, including someone who is supposed to be the top Superstar on the brand by way of his status as champion.               ...
Seth Rollins had a prime opportunity to become the new WWE universal champion on the November 21 edition of Monday Night Raw. The Architect was close to taking down Kevin Owens but ultimately came up short in his bid to rule Monday nights. But this has become an ongoing problem for Rollins. The longer he goes without the title, the less sense it makes. Rollins is red-hot right now and should be reigning as the WWE universal champion. There seems to be no other reason to keep Rollins from the championship other than to watch him chase it. That seems like a great ...
In the wake of Survivor Series, the Superstars of Raw began building toward Roadblock: End of the Line Monday night. Kevin Owens, Chris Jericho, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins continued their rivalry, culminating in a WWE Universal Championship match between The Prizefighter and The Architect. Cesaro and Sheamus sought the tag team titles that had been just outside of their grasp as they challenged The New Day. Rich Swann, T.J. Perkins and Noam Dar battled for the right to challenge Brian Kendrick for the Cruiserweight Championship, and Enzo Amore found himself on the receiving end of Rusev's anger. As Roadblock approached, the WWE Universe ...
