Welcome to the first post-WrestleMania SmackDown edition of “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.”WrestleMania left us with quite a few unanswered questions, and Raw this past Monday night did little to answer most of them.Would they be answered tonight on SmackDown? What would the first SmackDown of the Laurinaitis Era bring?Begin Slideshow

WWE SmackDown: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, March 23, 2012

Welcome to another edition of “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.”Normally I try to get this out to you as soon as SmackDown goes off the air, but I have a confession to make. I ended up falling asleep after staying up for an entire day straight reading "The Hunger Games" novels and missed SmackDown. However, I watched it this morning and I must say, there’s nothing to rid your mind of the nightmares of a horrific dystopian future like a solid two hours of professional wrestling.SmackDown was so good this week that there is actually nothing ugly to ...

Welcome back, sports entertainment fans. It’s time once again to find out what on this week’s SmackDown was good, what was bad and what was ugly.SmackDown was a solid show this week. Welcome to my first edition of The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. After every Raw and SmackDown, I will give my perspective on what was good, what was bad and what was, you know, ugly.I could be referring to a good match, a logical story progression or just simply an entertaining moment. I’m sure your opinions will differ from mine, so feel free to comment.Whether you agree with me or not, I'd like to think that unlike other similarly named articles, my arguments will bring a sense of logic and reasoning that can't be denied.Begin Slideshow
Last night’s Raw can be summed up in one word: Awkward. The 34-second Divas match: Awkward. The announcers feeling sorry for the Miz: Awkward. John Cena’s empty arena promo after the Rock threw his merchandise into Boston Harbor: Awkward. Jack Swagger’s hair: Awkward. Zack Ryder’s smile after Eve kissing him: Awkward and pathetic. The most awkward thing last night, however, was undoubtedly Triple H and Shawn Michaels' in-ring conversation. First of all, it went way too long. It could have been cut in half and still have gone on too long. Second, the obvious animosity between the two was so ...

WWE Opinion: WWE Needs a New Innovative Gimmick Match

Posted by Colby Primeaux On March - 5 - 2012
In the last fifteen years, the WWE has created several innovative matchups that are now part of wrestling folklore. The "Hell in a Cell," the "Inferno" match, the "Last Man Standing" match, the "TLC" match, the "Elimination Chamber" and most recently, the "Money in the Bank" ladder match. However, that “most recently” was seven years ago. Meanwhile, it seems like TNA is always coming up with some cage match variation or other new gimmick, from "Ultimate X" to "King of the Mountain" to "Lethal Lockdown." I don’t often give TNA much credit for anything, but on this I must. While ...
