Report: Mark Henry Hits Impressive Milestone

Posted by Colin I. McAndrew On August - 8 - 2013
Interesting report coming from NorthAmericanWrestlingRankings.blogspot.com via WrestleZone.com, as it appears Mark Henry can add another accolade to his ever growing resume. The article notes that Henry recently became the ninth wrestler to hit 100 televised wins. This nod may not sound entirely unimpressive, given the fact that Henry has been in the WWE for over 15 years. However, when you factor in the people that share this distinction and that the record keeping only began in November of 2006—you can understand why it would be a big deal. The article states: According to NorthAmericanWrestlingRankings.blogspot.com, which started keeping track of wrestlers’ records and ranking them ...

Report: Will Cena’s Injury Prevent Him from Competing at SummerSlam?

Posted by Colin I. McAndrew On August - 6 - 2013
As you probably noticed during Monday night’s Raw, John Cena came to the ring with a bandaged elbow. This left many to wonder what happened to the WWE champ and if it would be an issue for WWE’s upcoming SummerSlam pay-per-view. Apparently Cena is suffering from a swollen distended elbow, which seemingly had little to no effect on him during his tag match on Raw.  It should come as no surprise that Super-Cena once again appears to be unstoppable According to WWE.com: For now, it does not appear that Cena’s title defense is in any danger, nor is his eligibility for SummerSlam. He can and ...

Report: Reason Behind Big Show’s Raw Absence Revealed

Posted by Colin I. McAndrew On July - 23 - 2013
As you probably know, the WWE had been promoting that the Big Show would be returning during Monday night’s Raw. Unfortunately, this touted return never came to fruition and the company magically avoided mentioning anything Big Show related during the broadcast. Now, word is coming from F4WOnline.com (via WrestlingInc.com) that Show is still not ready to come back to the ring. The article states: The reason Big Show didn't return on last night's RAW may be because of his knee injury. Show was still limping as recent as the Money in the Bank pay-per-view. WWE officials may want him back early so they ...

Report: Matt Morgan Parts Ways With TNA

Posted by Colin I. McAndrew On July - 9 - 2013
Huge news coming out of TNA, as Jason Powell of Pro Wrestling (h/t Wrestling Inc.) has revealed that Matt Morgan was granted his release from the company on Tuesday. The article states: Matt Morgan is telling colleagues that TNA released him from his contract on Tuesday. It was well known within the TNA locker room that Morgan asked company officials for his release a month ago.  This is a smart move for both parties, as TNA has never really figured out how to utilize Morgan since his debut in 2007. For the most part, Morgan was used as hired muscle for multiple factions ...

WWE News: Vickie Guerrero Out, New Raw GM Appointed

Posted by Colin I. McAndrew On July - 8 - 2013
Big news on the Raw general manager front, as it appears Vickie Guerrero's job evaluation didn't go as planned for the self-proclaimed "cougar." In case you were unaware, WWE had been teasing a live job evaluation for Guerrero to air on Monday's Raw. Even though her latest authority role wasn't her best run, it was her most intriguing. She was seemingly pitted against the McMahons for the latter part of the role. Unfortunately, she was never really given the same presence that she had during previous runs, and she seemed all but lost in this role. Don't get me wrong, ...

WWE News: Rumored Reason Behind Ricardo Rodriguez’s Suspension

Posted by Colin I. McAndrew On July - 2 - 2013
Early Tuesday morning, the wrestling fans were hit with a bombshell when it was revealed that Alberto Del Rio's personal announcer Ricardo Rodriguez was slapped with a 30-day Wellness Policy suspension. Most people may not realize that Rodriguez is not only a solid announcer, but he was also at one time a regular in the ring for FCW/NXT. Given the company's track record, it's easy to jump to conclusions and think that he was using some form of PEDs or illegal street drugs. However, that may not be the case, as several friends of Rodriguez's have taken to social media ...

Report: Sting Potentially WWE Bound in 2014

Posted by Colin I. McAndrew On July - 2 - 2013
As we all saw during Monday night’s Raw, the WWE was doing title retrospectives for both the World and WWE strap. During those vignettes, the company selectively picked stars to represent moments in time for each belt. One of those featured champions was former WCW star and current TNA mainstay Sting. This move was apparently premeditated, as it's being reported that the WWE is confident that the Stinger will be on its roster. According to WrestlingInc.com: F4Wonline.com reports that Sting was included in those video packages for a reason. Word is that Sting is once again interested in joining WWE. ...

WWE MITB Spoiler: Local Commercial Reveals 5 MITB Ladder Match Particpants

Posted by Colin I. McAndrew On June - 24 - 2013
It's disclosure time again: If you are not a fan of spoilers, there is no need to read any further. Especially if you are looking forward to all that WWE has in store for July's Money in the Bank pay-per-view. Alright, with that out of the way, it's time to get down to business. Fortunately, I live in the greater Philadelphia area, so I was able to witness the commercial firsthand during Monday night's Raw. The advertisement (seen below) revealed at least five MITB ladder match participants. The stars mentioned were CM Punk, Daniel Bryan and The Shield. The ad ...

Report: Rumored Plans for Dolph Ziggler Revealed

Posted by Colin I. McAndrew On June - 18 - 2013
Well, it's certainly no coincidence that I chose this picture from last year's TLC pay-per-view, as it appears we may be seeing Dolph Ziggler and the MITB briefcase reunite. Unfortunately, it looks like former World Champ Dolph Ziggler may be going the same route as CM Punk from four years ago, as PWInsider (via WrestlingInc) revealed: Dolph Ziggler is 100% cleared to wrestle and WWE's reports on their website yesterday were for storyline purposes. WWE officials feel that based on the reaction he gets from fans, Ziggler is better off as a babyface right now. There was talk of having ...

WWE News: Daniel Bryan Potentially Injured During Raw

Posted by Colin I. McAndrew On June - 17 - 2013
On Monday night, fans witnessed Daniel Bryan duke it out against Randy Orton in a No DQ match. All seemed to be going to plan until Bryan charged at Orton and "The Viper" countered by slamming Bryan into the barricade head first. As the match continued, it was evident that Bryan was not fully utilizing his left arm. After that spot, Michael Cole and crew played up the fact that the referee had called out a WWE doctor to check on Bryan's status. After the staff physician arrived, he attempted to call the match several times to no avail. Eventually, ...
