CM Punk: Predicting the Next Feud for WWE’s Newest Heel

Posted by Eric Ball On July - 24 - 2012
I’ve had over 16 hours to digest what happened on last night’s 1,000th episode of Raw, and I still haven’t been able to pick my jaw up off the floor. CM Punk has turned heel?!?! It was by far the biggest twist of the night (the opposite of the AJ-Daniel Bryan wedding), and it was at the very end of the show. One of the subtle features that makes Raw great is that they always end the show rather abruptly, leaving fans begging for just a few more minutes of action. Punk had been DQ’ed by John Cena in a ...
John Cena and Money in the Bank. The two have never met before, until this Sunday night in what is destined to be a thrilling Money in the Bank Ladder Match for a WWE Championship Contract. Cena will be making his first-ever appearance in the MITB ladder match—and he has some stiff competition. The seemingly unstoppable Big Show has been a force of late, while Chris Jericho and Kane are no slouches, either. All four contestants are former WWE champions. It doesn’t matter; Cena is going to climb atop the ladder and grab the briefcase containing the contract, guaranteeing a ...
He’s baaaaack! Chris Jericho disappeared from the WWE universe after using the Brazilian flag in less-than-appropriate fashion back on May 24. He was suspended for a month but is now going to be back in action on Monday Night Raw in six days, according to Wrestlezone. Considering WWE has completely ignored the suspension, I’m assuming they won’t address why Jericho was gone. They’ll just throw him right back into the mix and create a feud that will surely culminate at the next PPV event (Money in the Bank.) So who will it be? He has already lost enough times to ...
The WWE universe is an ever-evolving world, and right now, one man stands out from the rest as the top dog. CM Punk has been the WWE Champion since back in November, and he has destroyed virtually every other superstar in his way. Dispatching Daniel Bryan and Kane at No Way Out was just the latest reminder. He has demolished the likes of Dolph Ziggler, Kane, Mark Henry, Bryan, Chris Jericho and, Alberto Del Rio in his reign as champ. He has now held the WWE Championship belt for over 200 days. It’s one of the longest reigns that WWE ...

WWE News: When Will the Rock Return?

Posted by Eric Ball On May - 25 - 2012
The Rock will be back in a WWE ring again…but when? Ever since The Rock told fans at Monday Night Raw after WrestleMania that he will return, speculation has run rampant. It looks like the movie star has accidentally spilled the beans in a Twitter conversation with radio host and blogger True God:@TrueGodImmortal They asked I come back start of 2013. Have 3 films to shoot so trying to make it work. Miss that electricity though man.— Dwayne Johnson (@TheRock) May 25, 2012 I want to stress that nothing is official and WWE hasn’t commented on the tweet, but this ...
John Laurinaitis and his ego are out of control. The latest example came last night on Monday Night Raw when he absolutely embarrassed the Big Show. After spending 18 years with the company, Show’s job was on the line because he made fun of his raspy voice. Laurinaitis distracted Big Show in his match against Kane, which caused him to lose, despite leading for the vast majority of it. Then he was belittled by Laurinaitis and was forced to get on his hands and knees to beg for forgiveness. Show was brought to tears (great acting job) and looked incredibly ...
The Brock Lesnar saga took a big turn on Monday Night Raw for the better. Paul Heyman went in front of the Greensboro, NC crowd on Monday to an absolutely shocked audience. On the one hand, they were confused when somebody besides Lesnar came out to his entrance music. Then the majority of the crowd wasn’t familiar with Heyman, who has been absent from a WWE ring since 2006. Then they heard him speak. They heard that annoying high-pitched voice and instantly memories of the ole’ days of Lesnar’s former agent and “legal advisor” returned. He claimed Lesnar has officially ...
The WWE universe was turned upside down on Monday Night Raw in Dayton last night. Fans had to wait until the very end of the show to find out what exactly was happening with John Cena a day after getting physically abused by Brock Lesanar. It was the final segment of the show and the crowd was told they would find out who his next opponent would be at the next PPV event, Over the Limit. With rampant speculation overflowing the Internet waves, everyone was shocked when WWE GM John Laurinaitis announced he would face Cena in the ring.Laurinaitis took ...
The WWE knows drama, and I think they sure did cook some up on last night’s Monday Night Raw. Actually giving the diva’s some attention for once, the creative team decided to pit Beth Phoenix against Nikki Bella with the Divas Championship on the line. In a lackluster match (if you ask me), Phoenix ended up hurting her ankle at some point during her loss, surrendering the title belt. On Twitter, she made it sound like the injury was rather serious:Thank you to everyone that helped me thru the airport this morning. Will keep every posted on MRI and xray ...
A wrestling legend has seen better days. According to TMZ, Scott Hall was charged with domestic assault on Friday after allegedly choking out his girlfriend Lisa Howell in a drunken dispute. Here is a sample of the report (via TMZ): According to Lisa, Scott had been drinking for days and the two had gotten into some kind of argument. Lisa says she got into her car, and in a blind rage, Scott grabbed her by the throat and tried to pull her out of the driver's seat. According to the report, police confronted Scott -- who appeared heavily intoxicated with an ...
