Post-Wrestlemania: WWE Has Realized Its Time To Create New Main Eventers

Posted by Jaden Smallings On April - 1 - 2010
*Warning this article contains spoilers for this Friday night Smackdown* Throughout 2009, WWE tried immensely to create new main eventers, with superstars like Sheamus and CM Punk as the success stories. While superstars like Kofi Kingston and John Morrison made an impact but didn't make the cut. This Friday could be the beginning of something many WWE fans want to see, a new era. No, I'm not talking about the attitude era, I'm talking about an era in which new main eventers are created. Without any further due lets begin: The Cryme Tyme Break-Up: First off, in case you haven't heard, Cryme Tyme has finally split ...

Wrestlemania 26 Predictions: Who Will Be Standing Tall?

Posted by Jaden Smallings On March - 22 - 2010
Hey guys, I'm back. Sorry I didn't write an article for a long time, I was just busy with college and everything. Anyways, we are only six days away from the grandest stage of them all, Wrestlemania! With star-studded matches like John Cena-Batista, Bret Hart-Mr. McMahon, and Undertaker-Shawn Michaels, this year's Wrestlemania has the potential to be one of the greatest Wrestlemanias ever, if not the greatest. But, will it live up to expectations? Without any further due, let's get started on my predictions.   Unified Tag Team Championship Match: ShoMiz vs. Truth and Morrison Obviously, this match was only made to further ShoMiz's tag ...

Will WWE Fans Ever Switch Sides and Start Watching TNA?

Posted by Jaden Smallings On March - 10 - 2010
As you all must know by now, TNA did lose the ratings war on Monday with a 1.0 rating despite the appearances of ex-WWE superstars like Jeff Hardy and Rob Van Dam. While WWE won with a 3.6 rating and that too with showcasing the same old stuff we see every Monday, nothing really mind-blowing. Now you have to wonder, in the past three months, we have seen the debuts of former main eventers like Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, Jeff Hardy, Mr.Anderson, and Rob Van Dam. If they didn't draw ratings for TNA, then who or what will? Which brings to mind that ...

Is TNA Taking Advantage of WWE’s PG Rating?

Posted by Jaden Smallings On March - 9 - 2010
Last night, wrestling fans from all over the world witnessed history as we all saw the rebirth of the Monday night wars. Both of last night's episodes bring up so much interesting topics, but I'm only going to talk about one that really caught my attention. Last night on Impact, a few things we saw was swearing and lots of blood. TNA knows that if they want to beat WWE, they have to find one thing that WWE fans are unhappy about. WWE's one weakness, and that weakness would be their current PG rating. Although I think that WWE is much better off with ...

Monday Night Wars Part II: Does WWE Underestimate TNA Wrestling?

Posted by Jaden Smallings On March - 7 - 2010
Hello Bleachers, and welcome to third edition of Jaden's View. January 4th, on what some call the return of the Monday night wars, I watched TNA Impact for the first time ever since they were hyping that particular show so much. I also watched what I usually watch on Mondays, Monday night Raw. On Impact, I saw the return of wrestlers like Jeff Hardy, Ric Flair, and Hulk Hogan. On Raw, I saw the return of Bret "The Hitman" Hart. No offence, but what Vince McMahon said was true, Bret seriously has no charisma whatsoever. When Bret returned to WWE after 13 years he failed ...

Top 10 WWE Superstars: 2004-2010

Posted by Jaden Smallings On March - 6 - 2010
The reason I made this article from 2004-2010 is because 2004 is the year I started watching WWE. Until this day 2004-2010 have been the years in which WWE produced several new main eventers like Randy Orton and John Cena, 2004-2010 also furthered the years of legends like Shawn Michaels and Undertaker. Now before you begin reading this article just because the title says 2004-2010 doesn't mean every superstar on the list had to be pushed since 2004 and had to be with WWE since 2004. In my opinion, each and every wrestler on this list deserved to be on this list and ...

True Confession From A Pro Wrestling Fan: WWE Has Become An Addiction

Posted by Jaden Smallings On March - 4 - 2010
The first time I ever watched WWE was back in 2004. It was a boring Monday and I had nothing better to do, so I turned on the TV and started switching channels. After surfing for a while, I immediately stopped when I saw Goldberg spearing the hell out of Paul Heyman. After watching Raw, I liked what I saw and starting doing a little research about WWE on the internet and found out that there was another show in WWE besides Raw which was named Smackdown. I found out what channel to watch Smackdown on and finally decided to watch Smackdown for ...

Jaden’s View: Do Spoilers Make a Match Less Interesting To Watch?

Posted by Jaden Smallings On March - 4 - 2010
Welcome, Bleachers, to the second ever edition of Jaden's View. Today's topic is whether spoilers make matches less interesting to watch. Before we begin, the spoilers I'm talking about in this article are spoilers that give away match results. Honestly, whenever I read Smackdown spoiler results, it takes all of the excitement out of the show since I already know what is going to happen. Which is probably why WWE decided to make Raw—their flagship show—a live broadcast. Personally for me, on one hand, spoilers don't really change anything because we have yet to see what actually happens.   On the other hand, spoilers make the ...

The Real Show Stealer at Wrestlemania XXVI: Rey Mysterio-CM Punk

Posted by Jaden Smallings On March - 2 - 2010
This year's Wrestlemania is full of blockbuster matches. Matches such as John Cena-Batista, Bret Hart-Vince Mcmahon, and what some are already calling the match of the night, Undertaker-Shawn Michaels. Do you know what all of those matches have in common? In my eyes, none of those matches will steal the show at Wrestlemania. I know that most will disagree, but even Undertaker vs HBK doesn't seem like it will steal the show, not this time. Lets face it guys, Undertaker is said to currently be in a lot of pain and HBK can't put on a great match without an assist from the deadman. Now you ...

Jaden’s View: Will Rey Mysterio Ever Turn Heel?

Posted by Jaden Smallings On February - 26 - 2010
Hello, bleachers and welcome to the first ever edition of Jaden's view. Today's topic is whether or not Rey Mysterio will ever turn heel in his career. Now, can anyone remember the last time Rey Mysterio portrayed the role of a heel in WWE? Nobody should, because he never has. Mysterio is one of those superstars who most people can't imagine as a heel. The reason being that everything about Mysterio screams baby face. His voice, his charisma, the way he's over with the fans, and even his underdog gimmick. Which is exactly why a Rey Mysterio heel turn would draw more ratings then WWE ...
