In an interview with Creative Loafing Atlanta's Jonathan Williams, WWE wrestling legend Bruno Sammartino clarified why he has refused to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. The 75-year old Sammartino was a former two-time WWE champion and he held the belt for over 11 years. PWInsider.com is reporting that World Wrestling Entertainment has signed Matt Justice (Matthew Hannon) to a developmental deal. Hannon is based out of the Cleveland area, and has worked for Pro Wrestling Ohio, Firestorm Pro Wrestling, and Absolute Intense Wrestling. Nemeth has been working in Ohio Valley Wrestling for the past year, and is currently co-holder of the Ohio Valley Southern Tag Team Championship. After a 24-year career in the squared circle, former WWE star Carl Ouellet (pictured right) has hung up his tights and retired from professional wrestling. Ouellet made the announcement on Tuesday during a radio interview with Quebec's largest radio station, CKAC. Ouellet wrestled under several aliases during his career, but was best known to WWE fans as Pierre of The Quebecers.  Ouellet came to WWE in 1993 with Jacques Rougeau as his tag team partner, and as The Quebecers, they quickly moved up the tag team ranks. Entertainment Weekly is reporting that "Stone Cold" Steve Austin will be hosting the re-birth of WWE's reality contest series, Tough Enough. The show will premiere on the USA Network on Monday, April 4, 2011, after Monday Night Raw. Among his many accolades in World Wrestling Entertainment, Austin was a six-time WWE Champion, and the only three-time winner of the Royal Rumble match. Former WWE and TNA champion Jeff Hardy is expected to enter a guilty plea to drug charges stemming from a September 2009 raid on his home in Cameron, NC. Hardy is scheduled to appear in Moore County Superior Court Thursday to answer charges of trafficking in opium, two counts of possession with intent to sell or deliver a controlled substance, maintaining a dwelling to keep a controlled substance, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Hulk Hogan On The Mend After 10-Hour Back Surgery

Radaronline.com is reporting that Hulk Hogan is "recovering smoothly" after undergoing spinal fusion surgery. Hogan checked himself into a Tampa area hospital early Tuesday morning to address his injured back, which was mainly caused by years of wear and tear inside the ring. The former six-time WWE Champion underwent 10 hours of surgery that consisted of fusion work, restructuring and rebuilding of his spine. The 57-year old Hogan is currently bedridden, but his condition will be assessed soon by a physical therapist. The plan is to get Hogan moving and hopefully back home in a few days. Sports Entertainment Sccops (sescoops.com) is reporting that World Wrestling Entertainment officials have discussed making changes to their announce team for pay-per-view programming, possibly starting with the Tables, Ladders and Chairs event on Sunday, December 19. Reports within WWE are that Smackdown's Todd Grisham isn't getting high marks for his work, which caused WWE to replace him on the show with Michael Cole. It has also been reported that Cole and Jerry Lawler don't like working with Matt Striker; during the Survivor Series PPV event, Cole removed his headset and yelled at Striker for talking too much.
