WWE Raw 1000 Gives Us CM Punk the Reluctant Shakespearean Heel

Posted by John Kindelan On July - 24 - 2012
Last night at the end of Monday Night Raw, we saw a story being told in the ring when it came to the defense of the WWE Championship by current Champion CM Punk. The Champion began the match with an offered hand shake, respecting his opponent John Cena as they began their battle for the title. Cena seemed to be somewhat surprised by the offer of Punk's hand and quickly tapped it rather than give a solid handshake and show mutual respect. The two gave a back-and-forth match as well as two men with completely different styles could. Punk's tactical and martial ...

The WWE: How Old Were You When You Started Watching?

Posted by John Kindelan On July - 17 - 2012
In 1983, I was a mere 12 years old and I was introduced to the WWF on Saturday mornings on the local Fox affiliate here in Buffalo. The WWF had just been born a couple of years ago and had just recently been placed under the watch of a young Vincent Kennedy McMahon. He had hand-picked Hulk Hogan to be the face of the WWF and truly changed wrestling from what it had been. The glamorized entertainment aspect of wrestling was born, heroes versus villains and a new lineup of wrestlers with "characters" and over-the-top personalities dominated the scene. As a young ...

WWE: Will a Bad Love Story Ruin a Great Match for Money in the Bank?

Posted by John Kindelan On July - 10 - 2012
On the July 9 episode of Monday Night Raw, the first 20 minutes of the show were dedicated to the CM Punk, Daniel Bryan and AJ "love triangle." Thus killing any the start of the show and kicking off episode No. 998 with a whole lot of disappointment. I'm not sure what is being seen by those in the back when it comes to AJ, but I've even seen it on here that people think she's doing a good job in the role she's in.But why?!Is she a crazed girl who can't control her actions and has a bizarre love for ...
On Monday Night Raw, it was announced that the Money in the Bank match at the upcoming pay-per-view of the same name on July 15th, will only have former WWE champions participating. Now this seems to be only for the Raw brand and not SmackDown which implies it's only for the WWE Championship. The participants announced so far are as follows:Kane The Big Red Machine finds himself in his fifth Money in the Bank match. He won the match in 2010 and went on to become champion, cashing in the contract that same night. The Big Show Most recently in a feud with ...

Chris Jericho Returns to Raw and Metal Gods Don’t Get Ring Rust

Posted by John Kindelan On June - 26 - 2012
Last night John Cena cut one of the greatest promos of all time as he went over recent events but tied the entire thing to Star Wars. Not once did he stumble. It flowed out of him with such ease you would have thought there was a teleprompter in the ring. I'm sure even the Cena haters had to sit there and say this is fantastic, but before we could get the conclusion of the Star Wars tirade, Chris Jericho interrupted John Cena.Jericho was conveniently suspended over a month ago due to an incident in which he disrespected the Brazilian ...
Its been far too long, but Dolph Ziggler is back in the main event for this Sunday's pay-per-view No Way Out.With Randy Orton taken out of the picture due to violating the wellness policy and Alberto Del Rio removed from the scene by a concussion brought on by The Great Khali, these two situations completely change the face of the contender-ship for the World heavyweight champion. The WWE had to go to a guy they felt could step up in a pinch—Dolph Ziggler.Ziggler has been stuck lately in a tag team that was going nowhere and with managers who seem to ...

WrestleMania 27 Results, Breakdown and the BOOM of the Event

Posted by John Kindelan On April - 4 - 2011
WrestleMania 27 has come and gone; a new "season" of the WWE begins, and so does our journey for the next year to get right back to where we are today. It had its ups and it had its downs, and opinions are flying all over the place today. So being the actual fan that I am, I'm throwing my opinion in there as well. April 3rd, my house was filled with a dozen people and enough food and drinks to feed another three dozen; we went all out—Del Rio Taco Dip, Rated-R Raviolis, Triple H Sliders and, of course, a ...
A couple of weeks ago the Queen of the Jersey Shore, Snooki, was announced as making a guest appearances on Raw, and those of us who are loyal fans sat and asked, why? Then after that night at Raw, it was announced that she would be participating at WrestleMania 27 in a match with Trish Stratus and John Morrison as her partners, and again we asked, why? Then we saw all the media, TMZ, Entertainment Tonight, Insider, and others reporting it as news and then all of us loyal fans said, Ohhhhh, I get it. This match is getting a lot of flack ...
It's the former WWE champion versus the original bad boy of Nexus. The King of the Ring versus the Necktie Strangler. The Jar of Mayo vs. the guy who doesn't own a TV. Lets breakdown, predict and look at the BOOM factor of Daniel Bryan versus Sheamus for the United States Championship.   BREAK IT DOWN In this corner standing at 6'6" and weighing in at just over 270 pounds, from Dublin Ireland, Sheamus; probably the fastest man ever to become the WWE champion. Watch this path and see how excellence is born, Sheamus had a feud with Goldust in July of 2009 ...
