Monday Night Wars: Breaking Down the Battle Between WWE and TNA

Posted by Peter Cash On March - 6 - 2010
Ever since Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff jumped aboard the ship, TNA has been very uppity about competing with Vince McMahon's powerhouse WWE. In my eyes, this is an admirable move, albeit a very gutsy one. In the final weeks before TNA under the Hogan regime, TNA was putting on some of its better shows in recent memory. Both Turning Point and Final Resolution 2009 were top-notch PPV's that I could say I was glad to watch. Suffice to say, the last two pay per views, Genesis and Against All Odds, have seemed like a step down from what we were getting ...
In November of last year, it seemed that Kofi Kingston was on the verge of being the next break out star. Once he dropped the happy-go-lucky attitude and admitted that he wasn't Jamaican, he suddenly began to catch fire. Kingston even pinned former WWE Champion Randy Orton on two occasions. Watching Daniel Bryan (former ROH star Bryan Danielson) walk out in front of that huge, unfamiliar crowd, gave me a strange sensation. When he got on the microphone, ...

Wrestlemania XXVI: The Best Ever?

Posted by Peter Cash On March - 1 - 2010
On March 28, World Wrestling Entertainment will hold their biggest show of the year, Wrestlemania 26. Although they would have liked you to believe that last year's show was the 25th anniversary of the "grand daddy of 'em all," this year is the true holder of that distinction. Perhaps it is fitting that this year's card is one of the most appealing since Wrestlemania X-Seven. If you talk to any fans of pro wrestling (or WWE at least), it seems the general consensus is that Wrestlemania X-Seven is the greatest Wrestlemania of all time. One would have a hard time arguing with that, ...
