Posted by Rachel Miller On April - 24 - 2011
Various wrestling websites have reported that the Night of Champions PPV has been removed from the roster as the WWE Universe are ask to vote for a new PPV name that will take place on Sunday, September 18th at the HSBC Arena in Buffalo, New York. Night of Champions made its debut as Vengeance in December 2001 replacing Armageddon and the following year, it replaced Fully Loaded in an attempt to distance itself from the Attitude Era. It was renamed Night of Champions in 2007. At that time, the championships that were defended were: The WWE Championship, the World Heavyweight ...

WWE’s Good Guys: 10 WWE Faces Who Need to Remain Faces

Posted by Rachel Miller On April - 19 - 2011
After reading my fellow Bleacher Jay McQuade's article on WWE's bad guys who to need to remain heels, I decided to do an article on WWE's good guys who need to stay babyface. Back in the 1980s, the babyface has become one of the guys who pro wrestling fans can count on. The face of the WWE in the 1980s was Hulk Hogan. The Hulkster became a true icon: He became the posterboy for WWE's Rock & Roll Era. He made movies, appeared on talk shows, and even had a Saturday morning cartoon show from 1985 to 1987. By the late ...

From ladder matches to TLC matches to 2 out of 3 falls matches and everything in between, these type of matches are sure to being the WWE Universe on the edge of their seats. WWE: Why Turning Heel Is a Very Good Thing for R-Truth

Posted by Rachel Miller On April - 19 - 2011
For the last year, R-Truth has been languishing on the mid-card while being overshadowed by the likes of John Morrison, Daniel Bryan, Evan Bourne and even Santino Marella. He was even rumored to be one of the Superstars who was on the chopping block. But that apparently changed this week on Monday Night RAW. After losing to John Morrison for the opportunity to compete in the Triple Threat match for the WWE Championship at the Extreme Rules PPV on Sunday, May 1, the rapping Superstar vented his frustrations against the Shaman of Sexy and proceeded to attack his best friend. By becoming ...

WWE: Looking at the Extreme Rules Card and What to Expect

Posted by Rachel Miller On April - 16 - 2011
We are just two weeks away from the WWE Pay-Per-View after a so-so WrestleMania 27, Extreme Rules which takes place on Sunday, May 1 at the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa, Fla. Extreme Rules is based on hardcore-style and anything goes matches which feature some unexpected stipulations. And even though only three matches have been announced so far, I expect many matches to be added between now and April 29. Most of these matches are basically rematches from WrestleMania 27. And so without further ado, here is the current Extreme Rules card as well as some unannounced matches which I ...

WWE: The Superstars (er, Comedians) of the WWE

Posted by Rachel Miller On April - 15 - 2011
Since all WWE programming became TV-PG rated in the summer of 2008, one thing has increasingly become common. Despite Monday Night RAW, Friday Night SmackDown, WWE NXT, WWE Superstars, and WWE pay-per-views mainly focusing on wrestling, there are also some comedy bits mixed in as the Superstars are known nowadays. The Great Khali entered the WWE in 2006 as a monster heel (his specialty match is the Punjabi Prison match) but recently, the 7'4" tall Punjabi Playboy has been used for comedy purposes. Take for instance, the Khali Kiss-Cam where Khali (along with his manager Runjin Singh) would find a ...

WWE: Are the Bella Twins the New Version of LayCool?

Posted by Rachel Miller On April - 15 - 2011
On the last episode of Monday Night RAW, Brie Bella defeated Eve to become the new Divas Champion, which got me to thinking.   Are Brie and her twin sister Nikki, Michelle McCool and Layla's successors? It sure looks that way. Brie debuted in the WWE in the summer of 2008 with Nikki joining her a few months later. At first, the brunette bombshells served as Carlito and Primos' valets before switching brands the next several months. Things settled down in October 2009 when the Bellas were sent to their current home of Monday Night RAW. But the sisters didn't wrestle very often, and ...

WWE: Has John Morrison Hit Rock Bottom? Blame It on the Divas

Posted by Rachel Miller On April - 15 - 2011
The Shaman of Sexy, the Monday Night Delight—whatever you call him, John Morrison has become one of the most exciting (and acrobatic) Superstars in the WWE. However, in recent weeks, Morrison's push has been stalled. This has been partly due to the complaints from the WWE Divas, who Morrison has sided with, who say that former Women's champion Trish Stratus took away their WrestleMania moment. So, without further ado, here is a brief history of Morrison—from as far back as his first involvement in the WWE, up until his recent problems. Morrison made his television debut on the WWE's reality ...
