Booking WWE: Part One

Posted by Rex Williams On August - 16 - 2010
Welcome to "Booking WWE: Part 1". This part will cover the August 16th, 23rd, and 30th editions of RAW, following the WWE Summerslam PPV. Monday Night RAW - 16th August 2010 Team WWE start the show celebrating their victory at SS. John Cena says the usual stuff to get massive pops from the under 12's. All is well as Nexus seems to have completely disappeared. Or so they thought! Nexus, led by Wade Barrett, comes out. He congratulates them on the win (sarcastically), but reveals that Cena should be more concerned now that ever because someone within WWE has joined the Nexus. Before ...

Hulk Hogan vs John Cena?

Posted by Rex Williams On July - 30 - 2010
John Cena and Hulk have a lot in common.  Both have been the top superstar of their generation.  Both have a massive following and a massive enemy fan base.  Heck, they both only know about three moves. But the question I ask, who would win, John Cena or Hulk Hogan?  With both men in their prime, it would be a dream match on hype alone.  It seems that over the years, both men have turned followers to haters with their somewhat repetitive and monotone personalities, but let's say it was 80's Hulk Hogan versus John Cena the rapper, who would win? In this ...

Randy Savage Signs With WWE & Mattel!

Posted by Rex Williams On July - 24 - 2010
Yesterday, I woke up and got some truly startling news; Randy Savage has teamed up with Mattel and WWE to create an action figure.  This comes a year after a DVD set entitled "Macho Madness: The Randy Savage Ultimate Collection" was released for Savage. Now, these two products simply could be Vince McMahon cashing in on Randy Savage's legendary, hall of fame career and I don't expect them to be buddies because of their reported tension and Vince's hatred of Savage.  But what I do expect is exactly what Savage said while promoting his new deal with Mattel: "2011 will be ...

The WWE Times: July 18, 2010

Posted by Rex Williams On July - 18 - 2010
Welcome to the WWE Times, I'm your writer, Rex Williams, and I hope you've had a great weekend.  Today, the subject of this issue will be my Money In The Bank preview and predictions.  Yeah, that's right, another prediction article that us writers love to do.  If you've already read one, you might think about closing this page, but don't because this prediction article is the best there is.   Layla (c) vs. Kelly Kelly for the Women's Championship This match will probably be overlooked by some people, but WWE has put a lot of effort into this match, considering it consists of two divas.  The "Smelly ...

The WWE Times: 13th July 2010

Posted by Rex Williams On July - 13 - 2010
Welcome to Issue No. 2 of the WWE Times. After the first edition got positive reviews and wasn't deemed too long, I have decided to strike while the iron is hot and go on with a second edition. This one will focus on a variety of subjects including the latest episode of RAW that aired live in front of a sold-out crowd in Kentucky. Other notes in this issue are my thoughts on Dixie Carter's conversation with the TNA Roster and my hopes for WWE's inaugural Money In The Bank pay-per-view.   My Thoughts On WWE RAW This week's RAW for me was fun. ...

Follow WWE, Stop With the Blood!

Posted by Rex Williams On July - 5 - 2010
Before I go on a long rant, please look to your right and look at the picture I've chosen for this article. What do you see? It's okay actually speak the words, it'll help you understand them. You see two 50+ wrestlers bleeding, right? Wrong, you missed something. Look beyond that. Beyond the ring. Fans cheering at two 50+ wrestlers bleeding, that's what you see. And you know what? I'm disgusted at it. When I think of all the litres of blood wrestlers must lose in a year, I'm disgusted. When I think of blood wasted on fans amusement rather ...
