But before we talk too much about what's to come, let's first take a look back and review the week that was.   Best Booking Decision of the Week: Brock Lesnar's Homecoming WWE sure had things planned well, as the last episode of Monday Night ...

WWE’s Best and Worst Booking Decisions for the Week of Aug. 9

Over the past week in WWE, advancement was made on the storylines that are helping shape the upcoming SummerSlam event. Stephen Amell, star of the hit show Arrow, interjected himself into WWE action, and Randy Orton came within an eyelash of becoming WWE World Heavyweight champion? Did anyone think he was actually going to defeat Seth Rollins though? WWE pulled the old interference card, having Sheamus come out and cost Orton the title. If you've watched WWE for more than a few months, you probably accurately predicted that very finish. But even with that said, it doesn't earn the distinction for worst booking ...

WWE is pushing hard toward its annual SummerSlam event, and now that the showcase will be four hours long, the company has made another move to produce the pay-per-view in a similar fashion to WrestleMania. While the only official match at this point is The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar, WWE advanced storylines this week, looking to push the matches that will help fill out the rest of the card. In the main event of Monday Night Raw, John Cena suffered a nasty broken nose while successfully defending the United States title against WWE world heavyweight champion Seth Rollins. On SmackDown, the team of Cesaro ...

On Monday Night Raw, Brock Lesnar and Seth Rollins engaged in a contract signing for their upcoming WWE World Heavyweight Championship match. In addition to that, Becky Lynch, Charlotte and Sasha Banks all came up from NXT to appear on the show, creating an aura of excitement that hasn't been seen within the Divas division in quite some time. WWE Missed Opportunities: Recalling the Short Career of Mordecai

Posted by Travis Wakeman On July - 11 - 2015
In this edition of Missed Opportunities, we turn back the clock a little over a decade, remembering a Superstar by the name of Mordecai. Unfortunately for him, and any fans he may have had, his WWE career had a short shelf life. Mordecai was introduced to the WWE Universe in 2004, as vignettes started to run during SmackDown broadcasts to promote his eventual debut. These videos seemed to depict a somewhat deranged religious extremist. The vignettes always ended with Mordecai using the phrase "Hear me; fear me." It seemed WWE had come up with a very intriguing character, and that was only ...

WWE Missed Opportunities: Tamina Snuka Continues to Be a Non-Factor

Posted by Travis Wakeman On July - 4 - 2015
WWE has ushered in several successful second- and third-generation Superstars over the years. In some cases, those Superstars have had even more success than their fathers and grandfathers. The Rock and Randy Orton are two prime examples of this, as both have won multiple titles and become two of the biggest names in WWE history. In recent years, WWE Diva Natalya and Superstars like Curtis Axel, Cody Rhodes and The Usos have all won titles with the company. Each of them followed in the footsteps of his or her fathers in doing so. But success hasn't come for everyone who had a famous ...
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Erick Rowan is going to miss roughly the next six months after suffering a torn biceps. It's conceivable to believe he'll be out longer. That is a crushing blow for him and tag team partner Luke Harper.Harper and Rowan had recently been reunited after having singles runs. Harper proved that he could handle the singles division, becoming Intercontinental champion. But that wasn't the case with Rowan, who floundered on the roster without his tag team partner. The fact that Rowan couldn't get over as a singles wrestler was likely one of the biggest reasons the team ...
Nikki Bella has held the WWE Divas title since November 23, 2014. For those of you who may not tune in to WWE programming on a regular basis, you read that correctly. Nikki has grown by leaps and bounds in terms of in-ring work, but seeing her dominate the Divas division in the fashion she has is a little ridiculous. Should Nikki be made to look that much better than every other female on the roster? Nikki has had close calls in title defenses against the likes of Naomi and Paige. She's even been defeated in several nontitle and tag team matches. ...

WWE Missed Opportunities: The Downward Spiral of Cody Rhodes

Posted by Travis Wakeman On June - 6 - 2015
Cody Rhodes has found success during the course of his WWE career, though none of that success has come recently. The losses have piled up for Rhodes, who is currently performing as Stardust, and he is falling further and further down the card.According to this report by Evan Real of HollywoodLife.com, a match is planned between Stardust and the star of Arrow, Stephen Amell. Though Stardust may gain some momentum heading into that match as well as a spot on the card, it would likely lead to yet another embarrassment for the Superstar. After all, how many times have celebrities lost a ...
