Following on the heels of CM Punk’s recent statements concerning his mistreatment at the hands of WWE management, former WWE Divas Gail Kim and Melina have added their own voices to the controversy. We all know that Melina has been released from the company, and Gail Kim has said that she has quit the company. (That is, she has not been released; I am not sure if this is a part of a story line.)Melina has stated publicly that she is upset by the way the women’s division is being treated, making a specific reference to the short matches that we ...

WWE’s Edge (Adam Copeland) Retires: Reactions and Analysis

Posted by Vanda Ramkissoon On April - 12 - 2011
Before Monday Night RAW, wrestling fans received a tweet from @WWEUniverse announcing rumours that the Rated R Superstar Edge’s career was in jeopardy. I read it and did not give it much thought, thinking that it was a ploy to get viewers to tune into the show. I was thinking that it would turn out to be some overexaggeration about an injury which would then justify him missing Extreme Rules. I tuned in anyway still blissfully unaware of the seriousness of the situation. The commentators also informed us that Edge was going to be on RAW to speak to the WWE universe. We ...
After a long wait the WWE universe has been graced by the most electrifying man in entertainment, Dwayne Johnson on  Monday Night Raw. After a week of guessing games it was revealed that the Rock would be the host of Wrestlemania 27. The response from the crowd was phenomenal. There were happy faces all around and the welcoming cheers and screams visibly moved the man who has become one of the most loved (and missed) superstars in WWE history. There are certain elements needed to be a successful sports entertainer. Sure you need certain moves in the ring, but you also need ...

Wade Barrett, CM Punk, John Cena, and New Perspectives For WWE RAW

Posted by Vanda Ramkissoon On January - 4 - 2011
John Cena was physically absent from Monday Night RAW, but was there in spirit as CM Punk and Wade Barrett argued over whose fault it was, or, to put it more precisely, who was to take credit for Cena’s injury. The news of Cena’s injury spread like wildfire last Tuesday. With his absence, there was the place for Barrett to return to the ring to talk to the newest member of his group. If the injury had not happened, perhaps we would not have seen much of a confrontation between Punk and Barrett. This is because Punk’s time would have been monopolized in ...
By now a lot of you know that John Cena has suffered a hip injury on Tuesday night in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. WWE.com reports that the injury will be monitored on a day-to-day basis and evaluated to see the extent of the problem. This means that we are not sure when the superstar will make a return to the ring. On a positive note, the ending of last Monday Night RAW turned out to be perfect now. Cena was accosted by Nexus (minus Barrett and CM Punk) and suffered more than one finishing moves, including the '450 degrees splash' by Justin Gabriel and ...

WWE Says Goodbye to Kaval: Why Did He Beat Riley to Win NXT?

Posted by Vanda Ramkissoon On December - 23 - 2010
The news of Kaval’s release from WWE has been a popular topic today. Like many others I am quiet confused about a few things concerning NXT, Kaval’s eventual climb to the top and his eventual disappointing run on SmackDown. At the end of Season 2, it was clear that Alex Riley was the preferred candidate for a contract at WWE. He was given the job of being the Miz’s apprentice after his loss on NXT and has been doing quite well on Monday Night RAW. He has been getting a lot of TV time, doing promos, helping the Miz retain the WWE ...

WWE TLC Results: Randy Orton Loses to The Miz

At WWE Tables, Ladders and Chairs there were two important events concerning the future of three WWE superstars and the WWE title.   WWE No. 1 Contender’s Match In this match, John Morrison overcame the King of the Ring Sheamus to become the No. 1 contender for the WWE championship. Morrison has been getting a fair amount of attention lately and it was not too much of a surprise to see him come out on top. Sheamus remains the King of the Ring and will most likely continue to wait on Triple H’s return. The attention of all then shifted to a new question: Who would ...

“And the Award Goes To…” WWE Slammys: Cena Wins Again

Posted by Vanda Ramkissoon On December - 14 - 2010
WWE’s special three hour Slammy awards saw John Cena and team LayCool running away with two awards each. Cena won the “Holy (insert expletive here) Award” for giving Batista an Attitude Adjustment off a car earlier in the year. This beat John Morrison jumping about 10 feet onto a confused Sheamus and Randy Orton’s mid air RKO to Evan Bourne. With that being said, I believe the real Holy %@*> award goes to WWE awarding this to John Cena. Additionally, Cena has been rehired by Wade Barrett; he has to be so he can be "Superstar of the Year". This is ...

WWE Championship: Aftermath of the Miz vs Randy Orton

Posted by Vanda Ramkissoon On December - 1 - 2010
The King of the Ring edition of Monday Night RAW saw the crowning moment of not just the new King Sheamus, but also the new WWE Champion, the Miz. One week after cashing in his money in the bank contract on a beaten Randy Orton, the awesome one addressed the WWE universe for the first time. He decided to go against the original party celebration which was promised by his assistant Alex Riley (that was probably for A-Ri’s own good) and opted instead to make a long speech which basically said, "To all of you who did not believe in me, I ...
I had a dream about two weeks ago, I was at a match and there were about fifteen John Cenas, I was very confused (and excited). It seems as if WWE Creative had a similar dream and as predicted John Cena is back in WWE. He is using a mask to hide his identity. His character is now Juan Cena, John’s Mexican cousin, and he made his debut in the WWE house shows. He looks like Cena and dresses like him and fights like him.I guess they are really close cousins. Also, John Cena is back on RAW taking care of ...
