2011 WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony: Sunny Gets Snubbed

Despite Sunny being one of the biggest names being inducted into the 2011 WWE Hall of Fame this past Saturday night, don’t expect to hear her speech in full tonight during USA Network’s broadcast of the Hall of Fame ceremony at 8PM EST. (The Score in Canada will also air the event on April 5th at 6:30 PM EST.)
She is being snubbed by Drew Carey. That’s right—Drew Carey. Apparently this is due to the ongoing deal WWE has with GSN to promote his new series on the network.
As a result, we will be hearing Drew Carey’s speech from Saturday night. ...

On March 28, 2011, according to leaked emails, Vince McMahon views the WWE as a "global media company" employing "superstars" rather than wrestlers and putting on "entertainments" instead of wrestling events.
Despite the unyielding title actually standing for World Wrestling Entertainment, over the past two years they have unsuccessfully tried to prevent worldwide media from using the term.
They have made their new policy explicit. TVWeek.com had a headline that ran "Drew Carey inducted into pro wrestling Hall of Fame." WWE publicist Kellie Baldyga immediately emailed the author of the piece, insisting it needed to be corrected.
