WHAT IF: Vince McMahon Banning The Heartbreak Kid?

Posted by Zach Duncan On July - 27 - 2010
Author's note: Apparently an article about this has already been done and disproven, so it is no longer a "Breaking News" article but now a "What if it Happened" article. Sorry guys about not being up to date. According to 24wrestling.com (whose source is the Wrestling Observer Newsletter), Vince McMahon is prohibiting the use of "the Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels's image as part of any marketing or (I assume) merchandising. Apparently top WWE officials, including the Chairman, had recently approved of a marketing idea using Michaels, but it has since been vetoed. Now I know what you guys are thinking because I ...

The Switch To PG: Who Has Been Hurt The Most?

Posted by Zach Duncan On July - 9 - 2010
It seems that no matter how much time goes by, the subject of this new era of PG wrestling in WWE will always be talked about, and it is almost impossible to hear someone say something good about it. There certainly have been a lot of changes since the switch took place and of course they had to happen given the very non-PG nature of the company before that. But who has suffered the most from these changes? There are some people, despite the lack of weapon usage, who don't seem to have been affected. Undertaker is still destroying people and ...

Randy Orton: The Stone Cold Of the PG Era?

Posted by Zach Duncan On June - 21 - 2010
I have been thinking about the similarities between these two for the past couple of months, and last night at Fatal Four-Way, it hit me even harder. Now, I will admit up until about a year ago I had no interest in Randy Orton. It never had anything to do with his wrestling ability—because he is a great wrestler—but he was just another self-absorbed punk, and since he lost to Hulk Hogan at Summerslam 2006 he has done absolutely nothing with his "legend-killer" gimmick. Between then and somewhere late last year he had practically no personality whatsoever. Even when he was ...
Well, it's been a long time since I have written anything, but I feel something historic happened on Friday's Smackdown and I thought I would throw in my two cents. First of all, I would like to say that I am a huge fan of both of the Brothers of Destruction, and while the Undertaker never leaves me disappointed, I have been rather upset on how poorly a veteran like Kane has been treated in recent years. It seems like ever since Kane lost his mask, he has been pinned with crappy storyline after crappy storyline. Sure there have been a couple ...

TNA: What Are You Doing?

Posted by Zach Duncan On March - 5 - 2010
I'm sorry but I can't stay silent, not after watching the latest episode of TNA: Impact. This was the last episode before TNA moves to Monday nights to compete with RAW and tries to bring back the Monday Night Wars. After this latest showing, I am incredibly worried about TNA's chances. A couple weeks ago an interesting thing happened. That week Monday Night Raw was terrible (this was with Jerry Springer as guest host), and I actually saw a pretty good Impact. I was astonished. I was seriously beginning to believe that TNA could at least give the WWE a run for its ...

Breaking News: Brooke Hogan Joins TNA?

Posted by Zach Duncan On February - 8 - 2010
According to Canada's SLAM! wrestling news website, there are rumors that Hulk Hogan's daughter Brooke "might take an on-camera role with TNA." This is apparently due to her stalled music and TV career. Now, I would love to believe that TNA isn't that stupid, but with people like Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff holding the reigns, I'm not so sure. While this is just a rumor, Hogan has done nothing since joining TNA except bring in a bunch of guys from the old WWE/WCW days, some of which were never very big to begin with. So, why not bring in his own daughter? I honestly ...
