AJ Styles vs. Kevin Owens: Comparing WWE SmackDown, Raw’s Booking of Top Heels

Posted by Ryan Dilbert On January - 20 - 2017

AJ Styles has had a distinct edge over Kevin Owens as the two villains have reigned over WWE SmackDown and Raw, respectively: superior booking. The amount of electricity surrounding their upcoming title bouts speak to that. Styles is poised to face John Cena for the WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view on Jan. 29. Owens will defend the Universal Championship against Roman Reigns the same night. SmackDown's championship bout is more appealing, a collision of titans belonging to the blue ...

Last week at Genesis, we saw the debut of former WWE superstar Matt Hardy. Hardy defeated Rob Van Dam in what I thought was a fairly bland ten minutes of wrestling. Early reports for Impact are now sighting that another aging WWE star has returned to TNA.  Kevin Nash? Nope. Sean Waltman? Nope. Scott Hall? Close.  Scott Steiner That's right, Steiner is back. Why? Who really knows.  TNA tapes Impact several weeks in advance, so Steiner won't be back for a few week. But, that's besides the point; Steiner shouldn't be back at all.  Steiner left TNA shortly before the Hogan/Bischoff era in a rather ...
The WWE always boasts the sexiest women in sports and entertainment. These women truly do it all and although they’re always posing for pictures, they still leave some to the imagination. Not these women. These women took front and center stage when they blessed us and the covers of Playboy. Even further, which WWE Diva did we desperately want to see let loose on the pages of Playboy?Begin Slideshow

Arn Anderson: A Perfect Fit in the WWE Hall of Fame

Posted by Tom Clark On January - 13 - 2011ADD COMMENTS
Arn Anderson. The Enforcer. He was the backbone of the Four Horsemen and one of the best wrestlers the business has ever seen. Now, 29 years after his debut, Anderson’s name is being mentioned as a possible inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame. The real question is, what took so long? Arn Anderson is, without a doubt, the all-around best heel I have ever seen, next to Ric Flair. He had a cold, merciless stare that seemed to carve straight through the camera and grab hold of you. His icy tone was complex and disarming, yet brutally subtle in its simplicity. Simply put, ...

Brock Lesnar: The Final Word on His WWE Return

Posted by warcroft On January - 13 - 2011ADD COMMENTS
There has been much speculation the past few months as to whether Brock Lesnar will be returning to the WWE. Well, after an announcement by UFC president Dana White, Brock Lesnar will NOT be returning to the WWE any time soon. Dana White has announced that Lesnar will be one of two coaches for The Ultimate Fighter 13; the other to be Lesnar's future opponent Junior dos Santos. TUF13, focusing on welterweights, will commence filming towards the end of January with the first episode airing on March 30th. Lesnar will face Dos Santos in June with the winner facing current UFC Heavyweight Champion (and ...
The Royal Rumble remains one of the most time honored and pivotal events in all of WWE.  The 1993 Royal Rumble was the first Royal Rumble event where the winner was to be named the no. 1 contender for a World Championship.  Since then, WWE has done an admirable job protecting the prestige of winning a Royal Rumble (for the most part) as this is one of the few WWE institutions that has not been diluted in the brand extension era. Since its inception in 1988, there has always been one Royal Rumble and one winner - some winners better than ...

Christian: Why I Am Cheering The Man We All Hate

Posted by Matt Offermann On January - 13 - 2011ADD COMMENTS
Okay guys. It has been a while since I wrote an article on here, technical difficulties. But I am back and after watching the last few episodes of Raw and Smackdown I have got to say, the chances of the match we all want to see is growing ever so higher by the week. One man moving shows makes all the difference in my opinion. With Alberto Del Rio moving to Raw, the return of Christian to job him seems horribly unlikely by the day. Think about it: Would Vince want to have the guy he hates be on the No. 1 show? ...

Scoff with The Off: Cena Fined After Raw, Nexus vs. Nexus?

Posted by Matt Offermann On January - 13 - 2011ADD COMMENTS
What's up, bleaches? The Off is back after some technical difficulties to once again give you news you want to hear, so let's get to it.   John Cena Fined After Using "Profanity" on Raw I am sure all of you hear this so-called profanity on Raw when Cena told Punk that he was going to "whoop his ass." Oh no, he said ass! Now I don't know how the PG rules stay, but really? One word that really brought out the emotion of John Cena, I am not for the all-out cussing again, but give me a break, fine the face of the ...
