Posted by dragos polovina On October - 8 - 2011
Hello everyone! I'm back with more statistics, this time for the WWE Vengeance PPVs. Being a history major, I love looking back and seeing statistics and patterns of the past, so I apply that love with my love of the WWE.From the responses I got on my previous PPV statistics, it looks like many of you like them as well. The Vengeance PPV debuted December 9th 2001, and it temporarily ended after the June 24th show in 2007. This is seven years of history to recap, so lets get started. In case you missed it here are my previous articles:Hell in a ...

WWE: Vince McMahon Puts Triple H as the Head of a New Department

Posted by dragos polovina On April - 8 - 2011
This new re-branding initiative that the WWE has set its sight on will be highlighted through a national consumer and business-to-business advertising campaign entitled "Bigger. Badder. Better."The campaign kicked off at WrestleMania 27 on Sunday and will be featured on cable TV, print and online. In addition to focusing on the expansion of the company, the company will bolster its core business with the launch of a new talent development department headed by Paul "Triple H" Levesque. The new department will put a greater emphasis on worldwide recruitment, training and character development to identify ...
"I wouldn't say it was utter nonsense, that's not true!" In an interview with the Daily Star, TNA World Champion Sting admitted that he was approached by the WWE to fight The Undertaker at WrestleMania 27 and not only that but was offered a spot in the 2011 Hall of Fame. This is the second time that Sting has turned down WWE on the record. "It's a dream match that fans would want to see. It was close. I'm glad things turned out the way they did,"  Sting said. "There are so many variables. Let's just say that I turned it down for the same ...

Seeing that the Game's career is slowly winding down, I thought that it would be a great idea to highlight some of his most memorable moments and achievements. After WrestleMania 27, Paul Michael Levesque—better known as Triple H—will have a very small role on screen, but it is believed that he will more than likely continue his backstage career as Vince and Stephanie McMahon's booker and assistant. Please remember that these are my favourite moments, so don't take it too seriously if you disagree.Thank you!Begin Slideshow

WWE Raw, March 14, 2011: The Best, Worst and Huh Moments

Posted by dragos polovina On March - 15 - 2011
Less than three weeks until WrestleMania, people! We are getting in deep and the matches for the most part seem to be pretty cool; my personal favourite is CM Punk vs. Randy Orton. But that's just me. This week's RAW didn't disappoint, as it set the stage for a few other matches and improved on the existing feuds. So lets get to it: Best: to start the show we see the Rock in his home office (I guess) mocking a pre-teen boy wearing John Cena's clothes. The Rock continues to insult the kid until he cries, while the whole time pretending that ...
Hello Bleachers of the night, see what I did there, I’m sooo smart. I have been following WWE since 1994 and one thing that consistently irritates me is the homophobic undertones that are being inserted into superstars’ speeches and promos. The biggest offender for the past few years has been the biggest face of the WWE: John Cena. Here are some of his great quotes over the years: “Don’t go racing to Witch Mountain Rock, because your mountain is Brokeback!” – implying that the Rock is gay and should therefore go to Brokeback Mountain, which was a title of an Oscar winning ...

WWE: Dolph Ziggler Is an Official World Champion

Posted by dragos polovina On February - 19 - 2011
For those who did not see the 600th episode of Smackdown! this past Friday you missed a 12-man tag match, Edge being fired and OH YEAH, two title changes. Now I know that many like myself blew off the Ziggler reign as bogus, but the WWE has recorded it on their site as an official title reign.  http://www.wwe.com/inside/titlehistory/worldheavyweight/ This makes Dolph the 17th man to hold the World Heavyweight Championship belt and the 22nd Triple Crown / Grand Slam Champion winning the primary title (WHC), the secondary title (INC), and the tag titles (with Spirit Squad). This also means that ...

WWE vs. WCW: The Dream Match That Never Was

Posted by dragos polovina On February - 1 - 2011
March 23, 2001 is a day that will be remembered by many old school wrestling fans as a day that changed the landscape of the wrestling community forever.Of course, you know that the date I'm referring to is the day that the World Wrestling Federation, now known as WWE, purchased World Championship Wrestling. This sale resulted in one of the most infamous story lines and – to many – the worst feud of all time. The story started with the invasion of WCW superstars, which were later joined by the ECW superstars. The feud ended later that year at the 2001 ...

WWE Royal Rumble 2011: Best, Worst and Huh Moments

Posted by dragos polovina On January - 31 - 2011
What's up! Unless you have been living under a rock for the past few weeks you know that the 25th Royal Rumble took place last night in Boston. The event wasn't all that great, considering the amount of hype that was associated with the event, and in many people's eyes, it didn't live up to its full potential.  Here are some of my best, worst and huh moments of the 2011 Royal Rumble! Best: A spirited contest between Edge and Dolph Ziggler for the World Heavyweight Championship that resulted in Edge's favour. Both put on a show, but the crowd seemed to be ...

WWE: Possible But Unlikely Spoiler Heading Into The 2011 Royal Rumble

Posted by dragos polovina On January - 29 - 2011
What's up guys! I don't usually write spoilers or new news but I was flipping channels and landed on a wrestling show that was talking about the Rumble. They were listing all the possible superstars that could very well land in the Rumble. They mentioned all the usual comebacks including Triple H, Christian, Even Borne, Booker T, and Kevin Nash. Then one of the hosts says a name that I was shocked to hear....Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson!!!!I currently have no idea if any of it is true and I am fact checking every site in ...
