WWE released longtime Superstar Cody Rhodes on Sunday, the company confirmed after he requested his release Saturday.
Rhodes revealed the request via his Twitter account:
The 30-year-old veteran has performed as Stardust since 2014 and has been part of WWE's main roster since debuting in 2007.
Rhodes is the son of late WWE Hall of Famer Dusty Rhodes and brother of Goldust.
