Through the years the WWE has created and retired several championships. Some of these titles were stepping stones to the next big thing. While others were used to represent an era.
This is the first in a series that will discuss defunct titles. I will talk about each titles history and who I feel the top five wrestlers are that held each belt.
This series starts off with the Hardcore title. Created in 1998, the title was originally given to Mankind by Vince McMahon. The design was simple, using the late 80's eagle belt, that was broken and taped together with the words "Hardcore Champion" across it.
