As expected, Hulk Hogan has faced much criticism online since entering TNA as a creative force. One of the biggest negatives many have cited as Hogan's limited positive impact on the organization was the repackaging of Abyss as a Hulk Hogan adoring babyface.
Maybe this particular character needs to be looked at in the long term given TNA's latest TV tapings.
It is not hard to see why Hogan has pushed for Abyss. He is big, looks like a star, and more importantly, is a home grown TNA talent who can mix it with the big boys.
The fact that the WWE were interested in signing him a few years back is incredibly telling, especially since they have very little interest in most of the stars in TNA's ranks.
