Stephen Farrelly made his WWE debut as "The Celtic Warrior" Sheamus on June 30th as part of the ECW brand. He began a rivalry with Goldust on ECW before moving on to a higher profile rivalry against Shelton Benjamin.
It wasn't before being transferred to Raw that he got more exposure. His destruction of Jamie Noble was not really impressive, but it let the fans know that he had arrived. Survivor Series was his night to shine. Most fans, including myself thought that Sheamus was too aggressive and would get disqualified and that Team Morrison would pick up the win.
Instead, the WWE decided to push new superstars like Drew McIntyre and Sheamus which left me with a smile on my face. I won't lie, I heard of Sheamus O'Shaunessy...
