WWE Battleground occurs during a time period when significant feuds are developing, although they are not able to grow based on the limited period between pay-per-views.
WWE will be airing three pay-per-views, Night of Champions, Battleground and Hell in a Cell, in a one month span. The emphasis is currently on Daniel Bryan, Randy Orton and the corporation.
Bryan and Orton once again find themselves in the main event following months of TV build up, but there is currently more competition among the WWE roster to vie for the top billing.
