Last night was the annual WWE Draft, and, as is the case with any WWE event today, it was a very mixed bag. There were some good moves made and some not-so-good moves made.

To be fair, though, you can’t really judge a draft the day after it happens. You have to give the moves time and see where the storylines go.

There was one move (well, technically it was two moves) that made me want to pull my hair out because it was completely stupid.

John Cena was drafted to Smackdown with the first pick. Logic would tell you that he shouldn’t be available to select again. But this is WWE and rules and logic don’t really apply to them, I guess. With the final pick of the evening, he was moved right back to Raw.

Meanwhile, in a smart draft move, Sin Cara was moved to Smackdown. That was the absolute right call because he needs to develop on a taped show—that way his flaws and weaknesses can be hidden by editing. Of all the moves that were made, I thought this was the best move of the evening.

We will have all the news, notes and information on last night’s WWE draft, and today’s supplemental draft, which takes place at noon on WWE.com.
