In a surprising "twist of fate," we saw CM Punk drop his World Heavyweight Championship to "The Charismatic Enigma" Jeff Hardy last night at the Night of Champions PPV.
I was personally thrown off by this, and while I should have seen it coming I didn't think the WWE would actually do it.
See, the WWE does not want Jeff Hardy to leave. They have offered him many deals that were well worth signing, Hardy even said that they were good enough. However, he has yet to sign a long term deal with the WWE.
It is true that he just signed a one month deal that will go through Summerslam, but that would make you think he would just drop the title to someone then at the PPV. Now, the WWE feels that by putting the World Heavywei...
