The go-home Raw for WWE Battleground continued a theme in 2014 for hot crowds. Venues in New Orleans (post-WrestleMania), Montreal, Hartford and now Richmond have contributed to very memorable Raw shows, thus elevating the television product.
Jack Swagger was the beneficiary of what was the hottest segment on the entire show. Opposite Rusev and Lana, Swagger and Zeb Colter worked the crowd into a frenzy during a detente. The segment made Swagger look like a top babyface, and the Real American is the most compelling Rusev opponent to date.
