The Wrestling Observer is reporting that World Wrestling Entertainment has signed Joe Anoa'i to a developmental contract. Anoa'i is the son of WWE Hall of Famer Sika, and the younger brother of former WWE Tag Team Champion Rosey.
Joe stands at 6-foot-3, 280 pounds, and was a standout football player at Georgia Tech, where he was voted first team all-ACC defensive tackle during his senior season in 2006.
After going undrafted in the 2007 NFL Draft, Anoa'i signed as a free agent with the Minnesota Vikings in May 2007.
Unfortunately, his stint with the Vikings only lasted a few weeks, as he was cut at the end of May.
