When a wrestler kicks out of an opponent's finishing maneuver, it's supposed to be a special and heroic evasion of an inevitable ending to the match. Instead, it's turned into a commonplace situation guys like John Cena and C.M. Punk perform on a regular basis.
What needs to happen is a change in that philosophy. Finishing maneuvers (minus the submissions) should signify the end of the match. When an opponent is weak enough, that Rock Bottom or GTS should be enough for the wrestler to pin his or her opponent for three seconds.
